RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai took strict action against negligent officials in Mungeli and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) districts. During the 'Susasan Tihar' ( Good Governance Festival ), the Chief Minister directed the immediate suspension of R.K. Mishra, the Executive Engineer of the state Water Resources Department posted in Mungeli, for the incomplete work of significant irrigation projects like the Maniyari Reservoir and Patharia Reservoir, which have remained unfinished for years. An order was issued to remove Jagdish Kumar Shastri, the District Education Officer of GPM district, from his post. The Chief Minister stated that the district's extremely poor performance in the board examinations reflects a serious deficiency in the education system, and such negligence will not be tolerated. The Chief Minister issued these directives during a review meeting on the implementation of schemes in GPM, Bilaspur, and Mungeli districts, held at the Mungeli Collectorate. This will provide ground-level information and improve administrative efficiency. The Chief Minister said that the summer season is at its peak. Officials should ensure that no one faces a shortage of drinking water. He directed the preparation and implementation of a concrete action plan to prevent seasonal diseases. There is sufficient availability of fertilisers and seeds in the state. Farmers should not face any difficulty regarding fertilisers and seeds. The Chief Minister said that the Atal Digital Service Centre is an essential part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guarantee. 1,460 centres have already opened across the state. He said that another 5,000 Atal Seva Kendras will open in the next six months. By 24 April next year, Atal Digital Service Centres will be started in every gram panchayat. It should also be kept in mind that people do not have to travel long distances for small tasks. The Chief Minister inquired about the reason for the delay in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Achanakmar Reserve area and directed that it should be completed within the time limit by establishing coordination. He also asked for training of women's groups for centering plates so that they can get employment in a large number of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana projects. The Chief Minister said that the Ayushman cards of more than five lakh people in Bilaspur district have not been made yet. The Chief Minister reprimanded the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) for this. He also inquired about the SIMS Super Speciality Hospital started in Bilaspur. He said that running it on PPP mode should also be considered. He directed the District Collector to submit a detailed proposal for this. The Chief Minister said that now all of us have to focus on water recharging. Praising the work done in Rajnandgaon, he directed that similar efforts should be made in Bilaspur and surrounding districts as well. The Chief Minister said that the rainy season is approaching. The water inflow areas of ponds have been encroached upon at many places. Due to this, the ponds do not fill up. He asked for efforts with public participation to ensure that all ponds are filled. He directed the urban development, agriculture, and panchayat departments to jointly prepare an action plan in this regard. He directed that crop diversification should be promoted with the consent of the farmers.

Highlighting Sushasan Tihar as a symbol of transparent governance, he reiterated the state's commitment to eradicating Maoism by March 2026 and emphasised the rehabilitation of surrendered Maoists. The chief minister also focused on aligning employment with local resources, strengthening Atal Seva Kendras, promoting agriculture and allied sectors, improving education outcomes, and encouraging youth participation in industrial growth and maize cultivation to boost rural income. He made it clear that this system would be especially beneficial in tribal regions, where transportation challenges often prevent people from reaching courts. Addressing the joint review meeting at Bijapur district headquarters, the CM emphasised that digital technology can simplify and expedite the judicial process, providing relief to common people. He reaffirmed the goal of ensuring comprehensive development of Bastar and declared that Naxalism will be completely eradicated from Bastar and all of Chhattisgarh by March 2026. He directed that emphasis be placed on promoting farming and developing irrigation facilities, along with allied activities such as fish farming, animal husbandry, goat rearing, pig farming, and dairy production. He also called for a focus on developing tourism infrastructure in Bastar to generate employment. The CM instructed that Atal Digital Service Centres in Bastar's gram panchayats should be used to ensure the availability of maximum services to the public. He praised officials for the improvement in Dantewada's examination results, noting a 10% increase in high school and a 4% increase in higher secondary results.
