Attacq Foundation launches Building Brilliance, Block by Block to renovate classrooms at Phuthumani Primary School
Waterfall City-based Attacq Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its latest initiative, Building Brilliance, Block by Block, a classroom renovation campaign that aims to transform learning conditions for more than 400 learners at Phuthumani Primary School in Tembisa.
Guided by its overarching vision to transform and help the communities in which they operate by investing in education, training, essential goods, and economic development, the foundation is not just funding brick-and-mortar upgrades, it is laying the groundwork for a more inclusive, educated, and prosperous South Africa.
Attacq Foundation spokesperson Danny Vermeulen said bright minds deserved bright spaces. 'By renovating classrooms, we're enabling learners to thrive and communities to grow. It's more than just infrastructure.'

Attacq invites the private sector and broader public to co-invest and build with them in a project that delivers lasting impact. Through structured sponsorship tiers, contributors will be part of a powerful transformation, block by block.

In March this year, the Department of Basic Education reported to the National Council of Provinces that South Africa faced a staggering infrastructure backlog in public schools; these deficits posed daily risks to learners. It was said that more than 8 200 schools required additional classrooms. Vermeulen said this reality underscored why the campaign was so vital.
