Teresa Palmer lists luxurious $7.6 million seven-bedroom pad in Hollywood after announcing plans to move back to Australia

Australian actress Teresa Palmer is all set to break ties with her old life in Hollywood. The 39-year-old beauty and mother of five announced on Wednesday that she and husband Mark Webber have listed their seven-bedroom Los Angeles pad. No details of the sale have been made public, including the price tag for the luxurious spread which is located in the sought-after Lake Hollywood neighbourhood. But according to real estate dealers, houses in the upscale Hollywood Canyon area can fetch up to $7.6 million AUD ($5 million US). Taking to Instagram, Teresa included a lengthy story in the post about her attachment to the home. 'We dreamed this place into life, our vision-board home, the one we once spoke about like a "one day" fantasy. 'It's been the stage for endless Mafia game nights, teenage sleepovers in the cinema, bringing home babies, epic birthday parties, and deep family connection.' She continued: '[It's the kind of home] whose doors never really close, always ready to welcome whoever wanders in.' The chicly designed house was featured in a photo spread in the fashionable InStyle magazine in December 2024, which revealed that Teresa had collaborated with designer Amber Lestrange to give the pad its unique and cosy style. '[We curated a space] that feels warm yet refined, with a Scandinavian-inspired calm. Every corner has been thoughtfully styled to feel welcoming but elevated, a home that's both lived-in and beautiful,' Teresa said in her post. She also added that the property's stylish furniture could be included in the sale. The Hacksaw Ridge star also said that she and Mark are planning to settle in Byron Bay, a favourite of A-listers including Chris Hemsworth. Features on the property, which is nestled in bushland underneath the famed Hollywood sign, include a pool, a home cinema, and chef's kitchen. There's also a fire pit, music room, guest house, with each of the seven bedrooms boasting an en suite. The property's stylish furniture could be included in the sale It comes after Teresa recently reflected on the moment she nearly quit acting after she was 'pressured' to hook up with her male co-star. The stunner, who made a name for herself in hit films such as The Choice, revealed she was fired from a movie after experiencing her own MeToo moment. Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Teresa shed light on the darker side of Hollywood that saw her meet some really 'nefarious' people in the industry, people that pushed her to 'hook up' with actors on film projects to better their on-screen 'chemistry'. 'I had my own MeToo experience. I was taken advantage of,' she told the publication. The moment made her question her dream of being an actress and almost saw her turn her back on it for good. Soon after, Teresa returned to Adelaide, convincing herself that her dream was over and that it was time to settle into a job as a drama teacher. However, her agent Ann Churchill-Brown - who also represents Hollywood heavyweight Nicole Kidman - wouldn't let her give up. Teresa went on to star in many career-defining film roles, proving her agent right.

Because movie critics should be up front with their biases, I will confess to a long-standing allergy to Rebel Wilson, the Australian comic actress whose entire shtick has consisted of her being 'subversively' gross and sticking out her tongue like a cut-rate succubus. I'm of the cohort that has never found Wilson funny — not once — but she's kept it going for an admittedly impressive 15 years since her American debut in 2010's 'Bridesmaids.'

Guess who! Hollywood star featured in 1990s ad before she was famous - as the quirky commercial goes viral

Before red carpets, Oscar nominations and critically acclaimed roles, one of Australia's biggest Hollywood stars was just another young actor trying to make a buck. And one newly unearthed ad from the early 1990s proves exactly that. The now-famous performer was barely recognisable in this quirky commercial for Continental's 'MicroChef Pasta for One' range, which first aired in 1992. Wearing a hot pink blazer over a red turtleneck, the fresh-faced actress appears bored senseless in a geography classroom surrounded by globes and maps, before reluctantly presenting a sad-looking sandwich to the camera. In the next shot, she perks up while holding up the microwave-ready pasta packet with delight, as a narrator sings the praises of the new solo-friendly snack. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The brief ad served up a healthy dose of '90s nostalgia with its punchy colours, cheesy music and classic Australian humour. But it's the then-unknown actress who steals the show with her expressive performance. The star would go on to have a stellar career in film and television, earning international acclaim for her standout roles in both indie hits and Hollywood blockbusters. These days, she's better known for walking red carpets than holding up frozen pasta - but this delightful throwback proves even A-listers have to start somewhere. Can you guess who it is? It's none other than Toni Collette. Fans were stunned by the throwback, which recently resurfaced online, with many taking to social media to share their surprise over the actress' early work. 'She's such a good actress she could almost anything hehe,' one fan wrote. 'I remember the ad – but didn't realise who it was,' another user commented. A third added: 'That's good acting because it looks disgusting!' The ad has since become a viral sensation, with many praising Collette's natural screen presence even in a 30-second commercial. It's not the first time Collette's early career has resurfaced in unexpected ways. She famously got her big break in 1994's Muriel's Wedding, which recently made it's way back into cinemas for the Sydney Film Festival earlier this month. A genuine A-lister, Collette made her name starring in The Sixth Sense, which won her an Oscar nomination. She has also had starring turns in About a Boy and Little Miss Sunshine, to Knives Out. Collette's latest role is in Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon Ho, whose black-comedy thriller Parasite swept the 2020 Oscars. In March, she was in London to start filming a top-secret project.

Rebel Wilson recalls horrific on-set accident

The 45-year-old Australian actress can soon be seen in the action comedy film Bride Hard and has recounted how she ended up in a "pool of blood" when a stunt went horribly wrong. The star opened up to Access Hollywood on how her nose was left "split open" when she was injured in the accident and required the attention of a plastic surgeon to avoid being scarred. "In a fight scene, a gun accidentally got whacked across my face. It was just a freak accident…'

Deborra-Lee Furness 'planning explosive tell-all book after bitter split from Hugh Jackman' - and it could expose everything from heartbreak to Hugh's new romance

Deborra-Lee Furness is reportedly planning to release a no-holds-barred 'divorce diary' detailing her painful split from Hugh Jackman and the heartbreak that followed. The Australian actress, 69, is currently documenting her emotional roller-coaster journey, with plans to publish the memoir once her divorce from the Wolverine star is legally finalised, according to New Idea. 'Deb's been desperate to have her side of the story out there,' an alleged source told the outlet. 'She's been writing down all her thoughts, the good and the bad, and logging every detail of this ugly roller-coaster divorce. As soon as her lawyers allow it, she will be talking to publishers about a deal.' The revelations come just weeks after Deb filed official divorce papers, ending her 27-year marriage to Hugh, 55, and issuing a powerful public statement where she spoke of her 'traumatic journey of betrayal'. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It comes after Hugh was spotted in public for the first time since Deborra-Lee opened up about her feelings of 'betrayal' in a blistering statement to the Daily Mail. Hugh and Deborra-Lee's split appeared to turn bitter when she spoke about her 'traumatic journey of betrayal' in the wake of her divorce filing last month. 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she said. 'It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.' She continued: 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. 'I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' She concluded her statement with the 'one thing' she has learned, which is 'that none of this is personal.' Deb's emotional declaration signalled a turning point in what had largely been a quiet and dignified separation - until now. Sources claim that while Deb is remaining composed publicly, behind closed doors she's preparing to reclaim her narrative with a raw and honest memoir that could shine a spotlight on Jackman's new romance with Broadway star Sutton Foster. The New Idea insider added that the actress won't be holding back: 'She won't be silenced. This is her truth.' Meanwhile, tensions are said to be rising between Jackman and Foster, 50, as he pushes to integrate his new partner into the family unit he once shared with Deb. The Aussie actor is reportedly eager for Sutton to form a bond with his and Deborra-Lee's adopted children - Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19 - but the process hasn't been smooth. 'Sutton begged Hugh to stop forcing the situation,' a source claimed to New Idea, adding that the Broadway star is keen to delay any introductions until the divorce is officially settled. 'It was Oscar's birthday recently and Ava's is coming up in July and Hugh couldn't see an issue with wanting to include his other half,' the insider explained. 'But Sutton's anxious about rushing things and believes it's too soon.' Foster, who also shares an adopted daughter, Emily, 7, with ex-husband Ted Griffin, is said to be treading carefully, especially with the shadow of Deb's scathing comments still lingering. The cracks in the Jackman-Furness split were further exposed last week when Hugh was spotted out in public for the first time since Deb's explosive statement, fuelling rumours that the once amicable separation has turned bitter behind the scenes. If Deborra-Lee's book plans go ahead, it's likely to be one of the most anticipated celebrity memoirs in years - and with decades of Hollywood secrets, personal struggles, and a headline-grabbing split to unpack, publishers will no doubt be lining up. Hugh has yet to release his own statement on the split, but a source told the Daily Mail he had been left 'extremely disappointed' by Deborra-Lee's words as he believed they had an 'understanding' they would not publicly trash one another. 'There was no stipulation that she could not address this but there was an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press,' an insider said. 'She got around this by not naming him - instead focusing on how she felt.'
