Over 2 lakh tribals benefit from ‘PM Janman Yojana': Govt
Bhopal: The state govt on Sunday said it has achieved a significant success in implementation of the PM Janman Yojana across 58,000 tribal settlements, benefiting 2.62 lakh members of Saharia, Baiga and Bharia communities. According to an official statement, the state has achieved 100 per cent success in providing Aadhaar Card , Ayushman Bharat card, Janman bank accounts, caste certificates, Kisan credit card, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and ration cards to residents of these settlements. They are using these documents to get benefits of various welfare schemes of the central and state govts. PM Awas Yojana, PM Gram Sadak Yojana, multipurpose centres, tap water in every household, electricity to all households, nutrition to all, health facilities to everyone, education to everyone, mobile network in villages and construction of Van Dhan Vikas Kendras in these settlements is being carried out in these settlements to ensure well being of families living there. Shivpuri district is on the top in the country in providing houses to tribal families. More than 16,000 houses have been constructed for them at Shivpuri, in Shahdol 10,711; Sheopur 7,639; Umaria 6,410; Chhindwara 5,479 and Mandla 5,446. In other districts also, the construction of houses under PM Awas Yojana is underway in a big way, added the release. Under PM Gram Sadak Yojana, there is a target to construct 2265 Kms road in 1570 settlements. Proposal for construction of 117 roads of 269 Km length has been sent to National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency. Sanction for construction of 377 roads of 739 Km length has been received and tender process is underway. In 17 districts, 125 multipurpose centres are being constructed, maximum 33 in Shivpuri and 22 in Sheopur, added the release. Water supply to 8,43,253 houses in these settlements is being carried out while the target is to make tap water supply to 12,30,000 households. In 3,132 villages, health services are available while mobile units are working in 1,268 villages. Mobile medical units have examined more than 4 lakh ailing people. They were specially tested for sickle cell and TB. Electricity supply has been provided to 24,800 households. Vimsar to build helipad for airlifting critical patients
1 2 Sambalpur: Authorities of Vimsar , Burla, are planning to build a helipad for helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) to facilitate the emergency shifting of critical patients to best hospitals in the country. Manoj Kujur, tehhsildar of Sambalpur Sadar, on Monday said that land for the project has been selected. Vimsar superintendent Dr Lalmohan Nayak said, "The project was announced three years ago. Land demarcation for the helipad is already complete. Through the HEMS, patients can be airlifted to places like Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai, where they can receive emergency treatment for diseases like cancer. In foreign countries the hospital building rooftops are used as helipads. If Vimsar gets a helipad, then it will be the first gov hospital to get such a facility for airlifting of patients." Vimsar receives patients from all over western Odisha. Patients seeking emergency treatment for burns and road accidents are often referred to higher institutions. He further said that plastic surgery is not done in Vimsar. Surgeries required in various accident cases which can't be performed in Vimsar are referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. "Monthly, 4-5 patients with cancer and cardiac disease are referred," he added. Vimsar dean, Dr Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, said, "In case any facility cannot not be provided by Vimsar in emergency cases, the patients are referred to advanced centres. The helicopter emergency service project will not only benefit those patients being taken to private hospitals, but poor patients can also be airlifted to the best hospitals for treatment under the Ayushman Bharat card."
