Joy Taylor, 38, reveals the truth about dating 25-year-olds after being accused of sleeping with colleagues to boost career
Recently-fired Fox Sports star Joy Taylor is setting the record straight on her dating habits after a clip of her speaking about younger men went viral.
Back in May, before she was axed from the network, Taylor revealed on 'The Truth After Dark' that she 'would not date younger than 25, 26' to the shock of hosts Paul Pierce and Azar Farideh.
Taylor, 38, added, 'Young men are very aggressive and do not care how old I am.'
That clip has since 'haunted' her ever since, causing her to clarify her position on pursuing romance with those younger than her.
In an appearance on the 'Hot Mics' show - hosted by 'Extra' presenter Billy Bush - Taylor stressed that she isn't a 'cougar'.
When Bush asked her about the clip, Taylor said, 'I am never gonna live this down and it is now haunting me... I've been dealing with these young men I''m like - I'm sorry, I just wanna be clear: I'm not dating [25-year-olds].'
'I made a mistake because no 70-year-olds are calling me,' she joked before adding, 'I date men my age, I'm 38... that is who I'm dating.'
Bush did ask Taylor what is the lowest age she would date, but Taylor didn't respond to either of those questions directly.
Taylor was recently let go by Fox as the company instituted a massive re-shuffling of their daytime and afternoon programming.
Not only was Taylor left behind by the network, but Fox also cut the show that she hosted - 'Speak' - entirely.
This comes as the company is dealing with the aftermath of a sex scandal - where Taylor was alleged to have had sexual relations with multiple higher-ups in order to advance her career. She has denied the allegations.
When asked by Bush what her next career steps are, Taylor said, 'I definitely will be in sports, I love sports, I still have a lot to say about sports, and I will have a platform that is following and covering sports for sure.
'I love the momentum that "Too Personal" [her podcast] has and I've really appreciated the support and the reaction to it. I'm happy to have my own platform because I think that's really important anyway.
'I have a lot of opinions about a lot of different things, so it's a space that I'm grateful to have especially in these insane times.'
