Cong spent more in promoting Kamareddy Declaration than implementing it: KTR
Hyderabad: The BRS Working President KT Rama Rao on Friday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him and the Telangana Congress government of deceiving the Backward Classes (BC) community with false promises made under the Kamareddy BC Declaration. In a strongly worded tweet, KTR said, 'The Congress party's dictionary – where lies are achievements, half-truths are calls for celebration, and declarations are just euphemisms for deceit!' KTR questioned why Rahul Gandhi and the Congress government were celebrating the promise of 42 per cent BC reservation despite it not having received constitutional status. He pointed out that even while waiting for such approval, the government had failed to implement the rest of the commitments in the BC Declaration. The BRS leader made a jibe, asking if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy needed the 'Anumula Brothers' approval' to allocate 42 per cent BC reservations in government civil and maintenance contracts, as promised. KTR highlighted that despite presenting two state budgets, not a single rupee has been allocated for BC welfare out of the promised Rs 1 lakh crore. He demanded answers on how many BC youths in Telangana had received the assured Rs 10 lakh financial assistance and whether any progress was made on constructing the Prof. Jayashankar BC Aikyatha Bhavan with the promised Rs 50 crore. Rao further alleged that the Congress government spent more money advertising the Kamareddy Declaration than actually implementing it, sarcastically suggesting that Rahul Gandhi change their slogan to 'Jitni Declarations, Utna Jhooth'. Calling it the 'Telangana Congress model', KTR said it was all about 'promises without performance, celebrations without substance,' and concluded with the hashtag #CongressFailedTelangana.

BRS leader hits back at CM for comments on BC quota, KCR
HYDERABAD Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy has condemned the comments of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy against former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and on the Backward Classes (BRS) reservation enhancement issue. Accusing the Congress and Mr. Revanth Reddy of betraying the BC communities after getting their votes in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections with the help of BC Declaration, the BRS leader said in a statement on Friday that the former was enacting a drama now on the reservation enhancement issue after realising that it was not possible for his government to do so. In the name of 42% reservation to BCs, the Chief Minister had been enacting a drama first in the name of BC Bills, later in the name of Ordinance and now in the name of 'dharna' in New Delhi. Mr. Revanth Reddy had washed off his hands of the matter by blaming it on the Centre and the Prime Minister. Mr. Prashanth Reddy said and asked why AICC leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge who were at a stone's throwaway from the protest site did not participate in it, if the party was sincere. On the argument of Mr. Revanth Reddy that his government would achieve 42% quota to BCs by making Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister, the BRS leader sought to know whether the Chief Minister was planning to put-off the elections to local bodies till then. On Mr. Revanth Reddy's comments that KCR had imprisoned himself in the farmhouse-jail, the BRS leader asked the former to recollect the past as to who had spent time in jail.

Revanth suffering from KCR-phobia, misleading BCs on quota: KTR
HYDERABAD: Accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of hoodwinking Backward Classes (BCs), BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Thursday said that the former was indulging in non-stop political theatrics. Rama Rao was addressing the gathering after welcoming leaders from various political parties from Pargi Assembly segment into the BRS. He alleged that the Congress had blatantly misled the people on the issue of BC reservations. 'They said they would provide 42% reservations with legal backing before the Assembly elections. But now Revanth says BC reservation will only be granted if Rahul Gandhi becomes prime minister. Was this condition mentioned in the BC Declaration?' he asked. Rama Rao recalled that BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao went to Delhi with a mission to secure Telangana statehood and he succeeded in his endeavour. 'Can Revanth claim he succeeded in getting BC reservations from Delhi?' he asked. Taking a dig at Revanth for repeatedly mentioning Chandrasekhar Rao's name, he said: 'Even in Delhi, Revanth Reddy couldn't resist mentioning KCR's name. It looks like he is mentally obsessed with KCR. He's suffering from a clear case of KCR-phobia.' He further said that the Congress government was using the BC quota issue to divert people's attention from its failures. Rama Rao, meanwhile, urged voters to support the BRS in the local body elections if they want to curb the atrocities of the Congress.

KTR denies buzz on BRS-BJP merger; warns pink party foes
Hyderabad: Refuting the claims of merger of BRS into BJP, the BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Thursday said the BRS will be there until Telangana exists and also threatened that the party would settle scores with all those who were targeting the cadre. Rama Rao said that after BRS comes into power, they would settle the scores with all. 'A few police personnel are doing extras, we are all noting down their deeds. It is my responsibility to settle the scores of all,' said Rama Rao while speaking in a gathering of leaders of several parties from Parigi Assembly constituency, who had joined BRS at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday. Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress government, accusing them of deceiving Backward Classes and indulging in non-stop political theatrics, the BRS leader strongly criticised the Congress' handling of BC reservations and governance failures. Rama Rao alleged that the Congress party blatantly misled the people on the issue of BC reservations. 'They promised 42 per cent reservations with legal backing before the elections and secured votes. But now, CM Revanth Reddy says BC reservations will only be granted if Rahul Gandhi becomes Prime Minister. Was this condition mentioned in the BC Declaration?' he asked. Drawing a sharp contrast, KTR reminded that KCR went to Delhi with a mission to secure Telangana statehood and succeeded. 'Can Revanth claim he brought back BC reservations from Delhi?' he challenged. KTR ridiculed the Chief Minister, stating that even in Delhi Revanth couldn't stop talking about KCR. 'It appears Revanth is mentally obsessed with KCR. He's suffering from a clear case of KCR-phobia,' KTR mocked. He added that the Congress government was using the BC reservations issue as a diversion while ignoring other commitments made in the BC Declaration.

KTR accuses Congress government of betraying BCs
HYDERABAD BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused the Congress government of betraying Backward Classes (BCs) by 'enacting a political drama' in the name of protest for approval of BC Bills in Delhi. Welcoming new leaders and cadre from the Parigi constituency into the party's fold at Telangana Bhavan here on Thursday, KTR slammed the Congress's handling of BC reservations issue. He alleged that the Congress has blatantly misled people on the issue of BC reservations. 'They promised 42% reservations with legal backing before the elections and secured votes. But now, CM A. Revanth Reddy says BC reservations will only be granted if Rahul Gandhi becomes Prime Minister. Was this condition mentioned in the BC Declaration?' he asked. KTR also ridiculed the Chief Minister, stating that even in Delhi, Mr. Revanth Reddy could not stop talking about KCR. 'It appears that Mr. Revanth Reddy is obsessed with KCR. He's suffering from a clear case of KCR-phobia,' he said. The former minister also alleged that the Revanth Reddy government had completely failed to fulfil the poll promises. He admitted that during BRS's 10-year rule, the focus was on Telangana's development, and the cadre may not have received individual attention. But he assured that once BRS returns to power, workers would be given due recognition and growth opportunities. He appealed to the party workers to work hard to ensure party's victory in every village during the upcoming local body elections.
