The 2025 BET Awards, Black Entertainment Television's premier annual celebration of Black excellence in music, film, sports and television, took place on Monday at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Now marking its 25th anniversary, the ceremony, hosted by Kevin Hart, honoured outstanding achievements across various categories, including Album of the Year, Best Actor, and Best New Artist. As always, the red carpet kicked things off in style, showing off the night's boldest fashion moments and setting the vibe for the night. These are our favourite red carpet looks. Doechii, who won the award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, served a 90's-inspired look in a scarlet red Miu Miu two‑piece. She completed the ensemble with double belts, stacks of bangles, and 3D floral‑accented sandals.

As the 57-year-old entertainer took the stage at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the crowd erupted in applause. Among those cheering from afar was LeBron James , who showed love to his longtime friend with a heartfelt message on X. While the Lakers star usually spends June chasing NBA titles, this summer, he had time to tune in and celebrate Black excellence. He emphasized that despite winning an Oscar and receiving multiple nominations, the BET honor meant the most. 'The Icon Award is the most important award because it comes from us.' His heartfelt words were followed by a medley tribute featuring Jennifer Hudson, Babyface, T-Pain, and others.
