Charli XCX Reportedly In Talks To Appear in Greta Gerwig's ‘Narnia' Film
Charli XCX created a clubland dream world with her Brat revolution, and now it seems she may be stepping further into the realm of fantasy. As first reported by Deadline, the pop star is being considered for a role in Greta Gerwig's upcoming Narnia film, which the revered director is creating for Netflix. Deadline reports that the singer is 'among top choices for a key role' but does not note which of the beloved characters this might be — though the report notes it 'potentially could be Jadis, The White Witch.' Gerwig, who sparked a global movement of her own with her 2023 Barbie movie, is directing a take on C.S. Lewis' classic The Chronicles of Narnia series, with the film scheduled for released on Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day), 2026. The film will screen in IMAX theaters for two weeks and then be available exclusively on Netflix starting on Christmas Day. If Charli does indeed appear in the movie, it would be directly in line with her stated ambitions of focusing her energy on acting and filmmaking. Last December it was announced that the singer had joined the cast of the upcoming film The Gallerist, directed by Cathy Yan and starring Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega. XCX is also producing The Moment, a film being produced by lauded indie studio A24 and based on her own idea. The Moment also marks the first project from Charli's new production company, Studio365. Viewers will see the pop star appear in Benito Skinner's Overcompensating series, Gregg Araki's upcoming thriller I Want Your Sex, Daniel Goldhaber's Faces of Death remake and Julia Jackman's 100 Nights of Hero graphic-novel adaptation. BRITs: Sabrina Carpenter dedicates first BRIT to UK fans: 'This is insane!'
Sabrina Carpenter dedicated her first BRIT Award to her UK fans at the BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard. The 25-year-old pop star has enjoyed a meteoric rise since the release of her track 'Espresso'; in 2024 and was handed the Global Success Award on Saturday (01.03.25) evening's ceremony but joked that it was such a big honour since the UK is a "primarily tea-drinking" country. Speaking live on stage at the O2 Arena in London, she said: "Hello! How are you guys? The first time I ever came to the UK was 10 years ago. I was with my mom and nobody knew who I was. "Maybe 10 people. But all I kept thinking about one day how exciting it would feel if anyone in the UK knew my music and now this week, I get to headline the O2 because of you guys. "And the BRITs have given this award, which feels like such an insane honour. In a very primarily tea-drinking country, you guys stream the s*** out of 'Espresso' and you streamed 'Short n Sweet' and you really understood my dry sense of humour because your sense of humour is so, so dry." Sabrina was presented the award by 'Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown, and Diana Ross had sent in a pre-recorded message to acknowledge the accolade as well. The 'Please Please Please' songstress had released five albums before 'Short n Sweet' took off, and started her career on the Disney Channel before that so insisted that her award was for all those who had supported her from the beginning. She said: "So I love y'all more than you even understand. I wanna thank Island, I wanna thank Polydor, I wanna thank Universal, I wanna thank my incredible hard-working team that never sleeps. "I wanna thank my family, my sisters, my friends. "Most importantly, I wanna thank the fans, the ones who have followed me since the beginning. I love you so much, this is all because of you and this is for you. Thank you so much. Cheerio!"

Sabrina Carpenter just went from hot girl majorette to lingerie reveal
Here at Cosmo HQ, we're all major Sabrina Carpenter fans. I could we not be? The iconique songstress reps the kind of sex positivity we've always been championing, and crafts bops that we simply cannot stop listening to. Understandably, after an incredible 2024, Sabrina made a major splash when she touched down in London last night for the BRIT Awards 2025. Not only did she win the Global Success award, presented by none other than Millie Bobby Brown, she was the first international artist to scoop up the prize. Throughout the evening, she rocked a seriously gorge look: a pink, ethereal gown that was giving Disney princess. The look was an adaptation from an Alexander McQueen spring summer 2025 runway look, feat. tulle ruching, lace panels and shredded tiers with silver sequin embellishment. And she finished it all off with a pair of white peep toes by Kandee and a diamond necklace, natch. View this post on Instagram A post shared by McQueen (@alexandermcqueen) While her evening gown look was fab, our jaws were fully on the floor when Sabrina took to the stage for her performance: a mash-up of her songs 'Espresso', 'Bed Chem' mixed British patriotic song 'Rule Britannia'. She opened the performance looking like a hot girl majorette in a red sparkle military jacket, matching hot pants, suspenders and red fishnet stockings. Flanked by dancers dressed as The London Guards, it was giving full Fergie 'London Bridge'. She then took things up a notch, stripping down to a red baby doll with tulle layering and sequin accents before changing her outfit again to reveal a sequin bra and garter belt combo.
