POLL: Was Meghan right to share twerking video?

Meghan Markle's twerking-in-labour video has everyone talking - from royal fans to possibly even King Charles himself. Was it a fun, unfiltered mum moment or a royally awkward overshare? Let us know! To celebrate Princess Lilibet's 4th birthday, Meghan posted a video that caught pretty much everyone off guard. It showed her, heavily pregnant, in a hospital room with Prince Harry, dancing and twerking to the song Baby Momma by Starrkeisha. Whether you found it hilarious, relatable, or a bit odd, it definitely got people talking. Some fans loved seeing this personal, human moment - but others weren't so keen. Royal commentator Jennie Bond called it 'utterly bizarre' and says King Charles would've been 'horrified' by it. ‌ But what do you think? Was Meghan just enjoying the moment and sharing a joyful memory? Or did she cross a line by going so public with something so private - and what is clearly a little unconventional for a duchess? Scroll down to take our poll. ‌ Meghan shared the clip saying: "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!" Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond was left flabbergasted, telling the Mirror: "The hours before you give birth are some of the most personal, intimate and private in the lives of any couple. "And women are perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel like to get through the waiting, and the pain. Giving birth is a serious business, and anything to lighten the mood is welcome. "However - to share those scenes with the world is utterly bizarre and, in my view, takes away all the magic of the moment. I cannot imagine why she chose to release it. Maybe show it one day to your nearest and dearest— but to anyone and everyone who wants to click on it? Was Meghan right to share twerking video? Take our poll below. Royalty has to carry with it some measure of dignity." Since sharing the clip many have questioned why she posted it, given the couple's supposed desire for privacy. And Jennie added: "I'm glad they were so happy before the birth, I'm glad Harry was there to support his wife in every way, I'm delighted to hear that he's such a great dad. But they really can't have it both ways. "They can't demand privacy and be so coy about sharing images of their children and then show us all these intensely intimate scenes. And she cannot expect to be treated as if she's royal whilst behaving like a click-hungry social media influencer. ‌ "Having said all that, there's no doubt that videos like this connect in a very real way to young people. Alison Hammond shuts down bizarre pregnancy claim in best way possible

Alison Hammond has shut down speculation that she's pregnant in the most hilarious way possible after false rumours spread online. The Great British Bake-Off and This Morning host, 50, has reportedly been the subject of false AI-generated stories that are claiming she's with child. Alison has one child – her son Aidan who was born in 2005 – but she appears to be determined not to have any more if her latest comments are anything to go by. Naturally, Alison has responded to the pregnancy rumours with good spirit and humour, taking to social media to deny them in the best way possible. Posting to her Instagram account, which has 1.7 million followers, she said: 'Lots of AI stories online about me being pregnant, I can confirm I am not having a baby.' She continued: '[I'm definitely not pregnant] as I'm not sure my 50-year-old womb could take it. However, I do think we should all dance like Meghan.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The statement was accompanied by a video of Alison dancing around her living room after stuffing her dress with a giant pillow to mimic a pregnant belly. Referencing the already famous video of Meghan Markle dancing while heavily pregnant with daughter Princess Lillibet, Alison busted a move or two while waving her hands in the air like she just didn't care. In the video, which was taken four years ago, the heavily pregnant Duchess of Sussex is shown dancing in a hospital room to the sound of Starrkeisha song Baby Momma. Meghan posted on her Instagram to celebrate Lili's fourth birthday on Wednesday, writing: 'Four years ago today, this also happened. 'Both of our children were a week past their due dates – so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!' The happy video has (of course) drawn some criticism on social media after Meghan was seen to twerk at one point, with online users criticising her behaviour. For Metro, Kirsty Ketley argued back: '[The video] shows something powerful: joy. A woman, supported by her partner, using music and laughter to cope with one of the most intense moments of their life.' Commenting on Alison's video, Bryony Gordon called Alison 'our queen' while Lisa Snowden applauded, celebrated, and laughed at the clip with a group of emojis. More Trending Scottish radio presenter Jenni Falconer commented saying 'You are just brilliant' and added three big love hearts in her message to Alison. Alison's son Aidan, now 19, was born in 2005 when the Big Weekend presenter was engaged to Noureddine Boufaied – the couple split in 2014. She confessed, 'I felt that failure with [Noureddine] when we broke up, but he moved on and has three other kids now and they are part of our life,' but revealed that they have successfully co-parented over the years. 'Meghan's twerking pregnancy video speaks volumes about next unprecedented move'

Meghan Markle left royal fans shocked by sharing a video of her and Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room in a bid to bring on labour while pregnant with Princess Lilibet - and one royal expert says it's a glimpse into what to expect from the couple in the future Meghan Markle sharing a video of herself twerking while pregnant alongside a dancing Prince Harry has proved "nothing is out of bounds", according to a royal expert. The Duchess of Sussex sent shockwaves around the world when she shared footage taken in a hospital room as she tried to bring on labour while pregnant with Princess Lilibet. The candid Instagram video, which runs for more than a minute, also features Harry, who is seen dancing in and out of the frame. ‌ He is beckoned in by Meghan as the pair dance together, with the duke appearing at the end, with the hood of his grey hoodie up as he continues his robotic dance moves. Meghan is wearing a black maternity dress and cradles her large bump as she dances, as well as lifting her skirt above her knees, raising her hands in the air and wiggling low with her hands on her hips and legs. ‌ The video came as the pair marked the fourth birthday of their daughter Lilibet with Meghan explaining: "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!" And according to royal historian Dr Tessa Dunlop, the video was something people would once never have expected from a royal. She told the Mirror: "Let's not pretend otherwise, that Baby Momma dance was Instagram magic. The twerking, the baby brain, the Harry cameo, you could not make it up. "Full marks to Meghan for constantly surprising, and out-manoeuvring, the naysayers. The vibe, the love, the crazy overdue drama, and the sheer audacity. The haters were horrified. "How dare she so publicly demean the royal brand. Does the Duchess not know who Harry is? Fifth in line to the throne. No matter. Meghan is all woman and to hell with what the rest of the world thinks. This was leadership of a very different kind. ‌ "It is a pity that while the Duchess working on her rhythm at university in Illinois, Harry was languishing at Eton College where lessons were of a very different kind. His wooden moves were a reminder of the stiff royal world he has left behind. The poor Prince was caught in limbo, somewhere between his full-on Californian earthmother and a former life riddled with institutions." The video came hours after Meghan posted never-before-seen intimate family photos of 'Daddy's little girl and favourite adventurer' Lili. Meghan shared a black-and-white snap of herself cuddling the princess, who was sat on her lap, with the pair both sporting windswept hair, seemingly on a boat. Another image showed Meghan tenderly cradling newborn Lili as she enjoyed skin-to-skin time with the new addition to her family in 2021. And Tessa added: "Fortunately his celebrity duchess has her hand on the tiler. Nothing is out of bounds as long as she controls the clicks. Oversharing is Meghan's Unique Selling Point. Surely it will only be a matter of time before we get a proper peek at Lilibet and Archie. ‌ "Yesterday we got a little hand here, a wisp of hair there. Perhaps the only thing stopping full four-year-old facials is the moral high ground. Clicks versus morals has always been a difficult circle to square. "As the Sussexes are fast discovering, lots of exposure can be very profitable, but the million dollar question is where to draw the line? Expectations are high for Meghan's next great Instagram hit..." Tessa Dunlop is the author of the moving book, Lest We Forget, War and Peace in 100 British Monuments.
