Happy Birthday Gulshan Devaiah: With dreams in his eyes, Devaiah came to Mumbai in 2008 and marked his Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap's That Girl in Yellow Boots in 2010. Happy Birthday Gulshan Devaiah: Bollywood actor Gulshan Devaiah will be celebrating his 47th birthday on May 28. Known for his unwavering dedication, willingness to experiment, and ability to breathe life into diverse characters, the actor has carved a niche for himself by continuously pushing the bar with his film choices. From his roles ranging from a four-cut Atmaram in Guns and Gulaabs to a serious cop in Dahaad, he has always kept the audience hooked with his impeccable acting skills across different genres. The actor graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and worked for ten years in the fashion industry. His passion for acting began with minor roles at an English theatre in Bengaluru. He honed his skills by performing in various dramas before taking the plunge into the vast world of Bollywood. With dreams in his eyes, Devaiah came to Mumbai in 2008 and marked his Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap's neo-noir thriller named That Girl in Yellow Boots in 2010. Now, as he turns a year older, let's go down memory lane and check some of his top web series that prove his versatility and learn more about his upcoming projects: Gulshan Devaiah Birthday: Top Web Series Guns and Gulaabs (2023): This has to be in Gulshan Devaiah's top web series repertoire. Dahaad (2023): While this gritty web series was billed as a Sonakshi Sinha show, Gulshan Devaiah was the uncrowned king in Dahaad. The film, directed by Ruchika Oberoi and Reema Kagti, is inspired by serial killer Mohan Kumar, also known as Cyanide Mohan, who preyed on women in the hopes of marrying them. In the gripping crime thriller, he aced his role as Inspector Devilal Singh, a cop who is chasing a serial killer. Dahaad also featured Vijay Varma and Sohum Shah in key roles. Bad Cop (2024): Anurag Kashyap and Gulshan Devaiah teamed up for Disney+ Hotstar's series Bad Cop. This web series is an adaptation of RTL's 2017 German show Bad Cop: Kriminell Gut. The cast also features Saurabh Sachdeva, Harleen Sethi, and Aishwarya Sushmita in pivotal roles. Afsos (2020): Another must-watch web series of the actor is Afsos. Leighton Meester breaks her silence on ‘Gossip Girl' costar Michelle Trachtenberg's death

Leighton Meester is opening up about her former 'Gossip Girl' costar's shocking death. The actress, 39, shared that the news of Michelle Trachtenberg's death hit her particularly hard because they were the same age. 'It's devastating,' Meester revealed to Flaunt Magazine. 'She was a wonderful, talented person, and everyone loved her. It's very, very sad for everyone who knew her.' 6 Michelle Trachtenberg and Leighton Meester attend the grand opening celebration at American Eagle Outfitters, Times Square on November 17, 2009 in New York City. 'Now, I can see that [the show's legacy] continues — in some ways, even more so than back then — to live on, which is incredible,' Meester told the outlet. On the series, the 'That's My Boy' actress played Blair Waldorf while the 'Harriet the Spy' alum starred as Georgina Sparks. 6 Leighton Meester (L) and Michelle Trachtenberg attend the 'You Know You Want It' publication celebration. Getty Images Penn Badgley, who portrayed Dan Humphrey, broke his silence on Trachtenberg's death, telling E! News in April that her passing was 'really surreal, really saddening.' 'What I remember of her is she was incredibly quick to laugh,' the actor, 38, added. 'She was really joyous.' Although they hadn't crossed paths in over 10 years, Badgley said Trachtenberg had a 'really pure heart.' 6 Michelle Trachtenberg, Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly attend the dinner for the NYLON celebration. Dimitrios Kambouris Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen), meanwhile, reminisced on Trachtenberg's 'electricity' on social media. 'You knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed,' the 'A Simple Favor' star wrote on her Instagram Stories in February. 'She laughed the fullest at someone's joked, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself.' Lively, 37, noted she'll remember how the late star 'always had yummy caramel smelling lipgloss on.' 6 Blake Lively, and Michelle Trachtenberg on 'Gossip Girl.' ©CW Network/Courtesy Everett Col 'Because she didn't just want to sparkle on camera,' she continued, 'she liked creating a nice experience for anyone who was in her orbit, even down to the subtle smell of her lipgloss because she cared about the sweet details.' Trachtenberg died due to complications from diabetes at age 39. She was found by her mother on Feb. 26 in her Central Park South apartment and had previously undergone a liver transplant in the last year. 'It is with great sadness [we] confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,' Trachtenberg's rep Gary Mantoosh confirmed in a statement to The Post. 'The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.' 6 Leighton Meester and Michelle Trachtenberg on 'Gossip Girl.' ©CW Network/Courtesy Everett Collection Sources initially speculated that the transplant might have played a part in her passing. The NYPD confirmed Trachtenberg was found 'unconscious and unresponsive' by police and pronounced dead by EMS workers. They responded to the building after a 911 call reporting a woman in cardiac arrest. In the months before her death, fans were concerned that Trachtenberg appeared gaunt in her social media pictures. But, last January, she responded to fan concerns, sharing she was 'happy and healthy' and had never had plastic surgery. 6 Michelle Trachtenberg. Instagram/michelletrachtenberg Many other fans and former co-stars took to social media to share their condolences over the heartbreaking death, including another 'Gossip Girl' vet, Ed Westwick. 'So sad to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg,' the 37-year-old wrote on his Instagram Story alongside a snap of the late actress on the series.

Leighton Meester ready for police series ‘Good Cop/Bad Cop' premiere

(NewsNation) — If you were missing Blair Waldorf in your life, you're not alone. Lucky for us, Leighton Meester is returning to TV once again with The CW. Only this time, she's exchanging her tiara for a pair of handcuffs. Her new show, 'Good Cop/Bad Cop,' premiering Feb. 19 on The CW, is a light-hearted mystery series that follows Lou Hickman, played by Meester, a detective working in the fictional small town of Eden Vale. When things start to go awry, Lou suggests to the police chief, played by Clancy Brown, that she get a new partner. The chief agrees and wrangles her estranged brother, Henry, played by Luke Cook, for the job. Although he's good at his job, Henry is considered the black sheep of the family and struggles to get along with others — unlike Lou, who uses her loveable, quirky attitude to her advantage with the town. Of course, this makes for a dysfunctional yet funny family dynamic. In a recent interview with The CW, when both Meester and Cook were asked about the hardest part of playing siblings, Meester replied, 'Was it hard playing siblings? I don't think so.' Cook agreed and said that during filming, guest stars in the pilot said, 'It feels like you've been working together forever.' 'We look exactly alike,' Meester added. The two brought up the theory that people who are dating or married look alike, with Meester admitting she feels that way about her husband, Adam Brody. 'I think that, I see that, I feel that way in my own (relationship),' Meester said. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
