Educational Visit Organised for Summer Programme Students
In the presence of the Northern Governor, His Excellency Ali Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, the Northern Governorate organised a field visit for students of the summer programme — held under the slogan 'Our Nation and King Unite Us' — to the Military Museum of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). During the visit, the Northern Governor expressed his deep pride in the museum's collection of artefacts and historical documents that chronicle the heroic achievements of BDF personnel. He highlighted the importance of such visits in inspiring national pride and strengthening loyalty and belonging among students by introducing them to the nation's history and the sacrifices of its heroes. Initiatives He affirmed that initiatives of this kind play an effective role in fostering national identity and enhancing awareness of the BDF's role in safeguarding the Kingdom's security and stability under the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The visit included a guided tour of the museum, during which the students explored various sections and exhibits, including paintings, photographs documenting the development of the BDF, models of historic forts, Arabian horses, traditional military uniforms, and medals symbolising Bahrain's rich national legacy.

TDT | Manama Bahrain is steadily building a reputation for sporting excellence through its armed forces, with its military athletes claiming global recognition across a range of international competitions. From winning gold at the World Military Golf Championship to taking bronze in the Military World Judo Championship, the Kingdom's servicemen have consistently reached the podium at major events. These achievements reflect a growing emphasis on fitness, discipline and competitive performance within the Bahrain Defence Force's sporting divisions. The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has invested significantly in sports development, enabling its athletes to represent the nation with distinction in events such as athletics, golf and judo under the banner of the International Military Sports Council (CISM). With more than 140 member countries, CISM competitions attract some of the most elite military athletes in the world. Bahrain's bronze in judo at the 2023 Military World Championship in Uzbekistan and its strong performances in the pentathlon and track events have helped establish the Kingdom as an emerging force in international military sports.

Bahrain Defence Force Marks International Sporting Success with National Pride
The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, on the recent sporting achievements by the BDF judo and golf teams. The teams proudly represented Bahrain in two major global events — the 43rd Military World Judo Championship held in Germany, and the 16th Military World Golf Championship hosted in Kenya — bringing home honorable results and further raising Bahrain's sporting profile on the international stage. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, praised the leadership's unwavering support for military sports. He emphasized that these victories are a direct outcome of the continued royal patronage and the attention given to nurturing athletic excellence within the armed forces. HM King chairs Extraordinary Cabinet Meeting
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa chaired an extraordinary session of the Cabinet at Sakhir Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. HM King Hamad welcomed the announcement by His Excellency President Donald Trump of the US, regarding a comprehensive ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. His Majesty reaffirmed Bahrain's steadfast commitment to peace and diplomacy as the foundation for regional stability and prosperity. Moreover, His Majesty reiterated Bahrain's unwavering support for the rights of the Palestinian people to live in peace, freedom, and dignity, and its backing for efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages and detainees, and the acceleration of humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts. Looking ahead, His Majesty welcomed Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), to the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, scheduled to be held next December in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Majesty expressed his hope that the summit would further strengthen Gulf cooperation, particularly given the current regional developments and challenges. His Majesty directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all relevant authorities to ensure comprehensive preparations for the summit, reflecting Bahrain's constructive role in promoting Gulf unity and expediting projects that benefit GCC citizens. His Majesty expressed pride in Bahrain's election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2026–2027 term, considering it a testament to the international community's confidence in Bahrain's balanced policies and its constructive role in promoting global peace and security.
