Lotto: West Aussie ticketholder snaps up $1.6 million slice of Saturday's $6m jackpot

Lotto luck has washed over WA after the Dockers' shocking loss on Friday spelt disaster for fans in the State. One fortunate West Aussie ticketholder netted a jaw-dropping $1.6 million after matching Saturday's winning numbers to secure the division one prize. Three other division one winners from across the country will be taking home their slice of the $6m jackpot. Division two produced 47 winners — including seven from WA — who each banked a cool $13,339.30 Good fortune continued in division three, with more than 1,000 players scooping up a handy $905.60 each. The winning numbers for draw #4599 were 23, 6, 38, 1, 15 and 18. The supps were 32 and 24. Luck in the west comes after a couple from Perth's northern suburbs found a humble way to celebrate their $1.4 million Lotto windfall, heading straight to the local Chinese takeaway for a few indulgences. The Banksia Grove pair won the division one prize in a Saturday Lotto draw after buying themselves a SlikPik 18 ticket. But they didn't immediately learn of their win. The penny dropped when they spotted a post on a community social media page about a winning ticket sold at Banksia Grove News and they quickly confirmed they had the winning numbers. 'I think we'll treat ourselves to a seafood omelette at our local Chinese tonight,' the couple said after collecting their cash. 'And maybe some extra spring rolls. We're not flashy people. It's all about enjoying the little things in life.'

Lotto winners in Perth north find humble way to celebrate

What would you do with a Lotto win? Pay off the mortgage? Buy a new car? Perhaps a holiday of a lifetime (first class, of course). What about a seafood omelette and extra spring rolls? A couple from Perth's northern suburbs found a humble way to celebrate their $1.4 million Lotto windfall, heading straight to the local Chinese takeaway for a few indulgences. The Banksia Grove paid won the Division One prize in a Saturday Lotto draw after buying themselves a SlikPik 18 ticket. But they didn't immediately learn of their win. The penny dropped when they spotted a post on a community social media page about a winning ticket sold at Banksia Grove News and they quickly confirmed they had the winning numbers. After collecting their winnings, the couple admitted they were 'not flashy people' and wanted a simple celebration. 'I think we'll treat ourselves to a seafood omelette at our local Chinese tonight,' the couple said after collecting their cash. 'And maybe some extra spring rolls. We're not flashy people. It's all about enjoying the little things in life.' But they also plan to splash out a little, taking some time off work to travel Australia in their caravan. 'Money shouldn't change you, but this will absolutely take the pressure off,' the winner said. 'We'd love to fly to Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final. We've never been before and now we can go.' In Perth's south, a Lotto winner has yet to claim their prize from the draw on August 2. The winning ticket was sold at The Lucky Charm Rockingham. The numbers were 24, 40, 43, 21, 45, 1 and the supplementary numbers were 16 and 9.

Lotto: Millionaire Medley makes one lucky West Aussie $1 million richer

There was only one winner of the division one prize in Wednesday night's Lotto draw, and they were a West Aussie. The lucky player struck gold in the Millionaire Medley draw and won a cool $1,000,000. The winning numbers were 28, 20, 32, 31, 8, 10, and the supplementary numbers were 23 and 22. In division two, a pair of West Aussies won a handy $8,672.60 and 53 more won a less impressive $774.35 in division three. Wednesday night's success in the state follows on from the success of an Aussie pair of players who won a staggering $15 million each in Tuesday's Oz Lotto draw. Weekend winnings were also abundant for two Perth players who bought tickets from opposite sides of the Swan river and both took home $1.42 million. The slips that matched the numbers for Saturday's division one prize were bought from Banksia Grove News and The Lucky Charm in Rockingham. Lotterywest spokesperson, Zoe Wender, revealed that Saturday Lotto saw the most wins per year. 'Since the start of 2025, WA has celebrated 36 wins thanks to Saturday Lotto, which continues to deliver the most division one wins for WA players each year,' she said.
