PXG launches Hellcat ZT putter, bringing zero torque tech to blade fans
PXG's Hellcat ZT putter brings Zero Torque tech to a blade design with classic looks and added stability. Gear: PXG Hellcat ZT putter Price: $249.99 Specs: Metal injection molded 303 stainless head, Pyramid Face Pattern, 4-degrees of loft with built-in 1-degree forward press. Available: Now on PXG Retail Stores, and through PXG master fitters Who it's for: Golfers who prefer a classic blade-style putter and want enhanced stability, consistency, and face control offered by zero-torque designs. What you need to know: PXG's Hellcat ZT brings zero torque technology to a traditional blade design at the most accessible price yet in PXG's premium putter lineup. The Deep Dive: PXG's putter lineup has been evolving steadily over the past year, driven largely by the company's proprietary zero torque offerings that aim to simplify the putting stroke. The Allan and the Bat Attack ZT keep the face square without manipulation. Now, with the release of the PXG Hellcat ZT, PXG is bringing that tech to a classic blade-style head at a price point that's more in line with mass-market offerings than premium, boutique clubs. If you've followed PXG's ZT journey, you know it started with the Allan ZT, a mid-mallet that debuted last summer, combining clean looks with that same anti-torque benefit for players who prefer a more compact head. Then came the Bat Attack ZT, a re-engineered mallet inspired by one of PXG's most distinctive head shapes. Now, the Hellcat ZT, a blade, completes the trifecta, delivering the same tech in a shape favored by players who value simplicity and a more traditional look. Precision milled from 303 stainless steel using a Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process, the Hellcat ZT offers a streamlined aesthetic, clean lines, and no adjustable weights to fuss with. The Pyramid Face Pattern — a staple of PXG putters — provides a consistent roll and feel across the face. According to PXG, the pyramids normalize ball speed across the face, so mis-hits roll out straight and nearly as far as well-struck putts, for enhanced distance control. PXG's S-hosel design gives the club toe-up balance, enhancing stability and reducing twisting. This is the same patented hosel approach that PXG employed in the Bat Attack ZT and Allan ZT models. One of the subtle engineering details in the Hellcat ZT is the built-in forward press. While the putter is measured at 4 degrees of loft, the forward press effect effectively reduces that to a playing loft of 3 degrees, which can help produce a smoother roll without the golfer having to make a deliberate forward-pressing motion during the stroke. The Hellcat ZT comes standard with a 34-inch chrome shaft and PXG's Slant 1.5 grip, but like other PXG products, it's available for custom fitting to match individual needs. Right- and left-handed options are offered. For those who've wanted to experiment with torque-reducing technology without committing to a mallet or mid-mallet — or the higher prices typically associated with PXG — the Hellcat ZT could be the gateway. And with the Hellcat joining the Allan and Bat Attack, PXG has quietly built a comprehensive ZT putter lineup that covers all head shapes.

PXG Bat Attack ZT putter
PXG Bat Attack ZT putter Combining a popular mallet shape with a special hosel design and zero-torque balance, PXG adds another option to its putter stable. Gear: PXG Bat Attack ZT putterPrice: $399Specs: Hollow-bodied 303 stainless steel head with polymer injection, S-hosel with 2-degree forward press, Pyramid Face Pattern with dual adjustable sole weightsWho it's for: Golfers seeking a stable mallet putter that reduces face rotation and enhances stroke you should know: This is the second putter in PXG's Zero Torque series, blending the company's popular Bat Attack shape with new anti-torque shaft and hosel technology. The Deep Dive: PXG doesn't really do quiet product drops. The brand that made its name with bold looks, bold claims and bolder price tags is back at it again — this time with the Bat Attack ZT Putter, the second installment in its Zero Torque (ZT) putter lineup. The new model takes the Bat Attack's popular, high-MOI shape and infuses it with the same anti-torque engineering that debuted in last year's PXG Allan putter. While the fang-shaped wings that extend in the heel and toe area are something most golfers have seen before, what you won't see — but might feel — is the way the S-hosel repositions the shaft axis just above the center of gravity. This design feature is at the core of PXG's Zero Torque concept: minimizing face rotation during the stroke, which is a fancy way of saying the putter tries to keep the face square to your stroke's path from takeaway to follow-through. That S-hosel design also includes 2 degrees of forward press built in, so instead of having to forward-press your hands at address and risk inconsistency, the Bat Attack ZT puts your hands into the ideal spot naturally. Combined with the mallet's perimeter-weighted construction, golfers may feel like the Bat Attack ZT wants to swing itself. Like the Allan putter, the Bat Attack ZT is built with a hollow 303 stainless steel body injected with PXG's proprietary S COR polymer. The soft material accounts for nearly a third of the putter's internal volume and helps redistribute weight to the perimeter, increasing the moment of inertia (MOI) and stabilizing the head through impact. The S COR polymer also serves a second purpose: Behind PXG's thin milled face, it absorbs excess vibration and helps the Bat Attack ZT deliver a softer, more insert-like sound. The face also features PXG's Pyramid Face Pattern, a milling design that has little peaks and valleys engineered to grip the ball's dimple pattern and promote true roll, especially on mishits. Finally, the Bat Attack ZT includes two adjustable sole weights, giving fitters a way to adjust the swing weight based on the club's length and a golfer's preferences.
