Suspect who allegedly urinated on steps of east Toronto place of worship while shouting antisemitic slurs arrested

A Toronto police cruiser is seen in this file photo. Police have arrested a man who allegedly urinated on the steps of a place on worship in Toronto's east end while shouting antisemitic slurs. The incident happened on June 4 at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the Toronto Beach neighbourhood, near Woodbine Avenue and Queen Street East. Toronto police said they were called to that area at about 11:30 a.m. on June 6. The suspect in this suspected hate-motivated investigation fled the scene, they said. Last Friday, Domenic Buchanan, 22, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with mischief relating to religious property and mischief interfere with property. The charges have not been tested in a court of law. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on August 19. (Toronto Police Service) Police have identified the teenage boy who was fatally stabbed over the weekend in Toronto's east end. Fourteen-year-old Abdoul Aziz Sarr, of Toronto, is the city's 19th murder victim of the year. Toronto police say they were called to the Beach neighbourhood, near Eastern and Woodward avenues, west of Coxwell Avenue, on Saturday just after 10 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. Investigators say paramedics were flagged down for reports of a stabbing near a fast-food restaurant. There, a male victim was located with injuries. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased, they said. Teen boy fatally stabbed Eastern/Coxwell July 5 An investigation is underway after a teenage boy died following a stabbing near Eastern and Coxwell avenues on July 5. Police have also not released any suspect descriptions, nor have they announced any arrests. The circumstances leading up to this fatal stabbing and the motive for it also remain unclear at this time.
