She kept her makeup subtle with a pink tint on her lips and left her tresses open and loose to cascade down her shoulders effortlessly. Manushi Chillar's Professional Front Manushi Chillar made her acting debut in 2022 with the role of Sanyogita in the historical drama Samrat Prithviraj. Since then, she has appeared in a number of movies, including The Great Indian Family, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Operation Valentine and Maalik. Next, she will be seen in the action thriller movie titled Tehran, directed by Arun Gopalan and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Shobhna Yadav and Sandeep Leyzell. The winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant once revealed whether there are any stereotypes associated with the pageantry field. 'Whatever people have to say, it's their opinion, but for me personally, when I transitioned into films, I didn't feel like I had to do something very different or I had to be a certain way. I dress according to my job. I was a girl doing her job as Ms World, and I am a girl doing my job as an actor now," she told HT, adding, 'The first thing is that when people say that the world of beauty pageant is of glamour, I do not agree with that. It's that one night in 365 days when a girl is crowned, which you see on stage." 'The whole year, what you are doing is not a very glamorous job. I was working with a charity called Beauty With A Purpose, and we were constantly travelling to the remotest areas of different parts of the world, and that's not a very glamorous job. So, technically, what I had to do as a Miss World was not just wear a crown, dress up and get photographed. Probably the media covers that one night, which gets most spoken about," she concluded. Ensuring women have access to healthcare is my mission, says Opal Suchata Chuangsri
In a moment that marks both personal triumph and national pride, Thailand clinched its first-ever Miss World crown on May 31. Standing radiant under the spotlight, the newly crowned Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, carries with her not just a title but a powerful story of resilience, purpose, and global compassion. In an exclusive conversation with The Hindu, Miss World 2025 reflects on her moments after her historic win in Hyderabad. From undergoing a major health scare when you were young to being crowned Miss World 2025, how does it feel to come this far? It is overwhelming in the best possible way. I had surgery to remove a benign tumour when I was very young. It was not breast cancer, but it came dangerously close, and going through that was emotionally intense. That chapter of my life influenced my Beauty With A Purpose initiative. Since then, I have worked closely with patients and doctors, and the strength I saw in them gave me strength too. It inspired me to dedicate myself to ensuring women around the world have access to proper healthcare. Today, standing here with this crown, it feels like that purpose has come full circle. This is Thailand's first Miss World crown. What does that mean to you and to your country? It is such a proud moment, not just for me, but for Thailand. To bring home the country's very first Miss World title is incredibly emotional. I know everyone back home is celebrating, and I feel so grateful for the support I have received from my family, my team, and my nation. I cannot wait to return and share this crown with them in person. You have spent nearly a month here in Telangana. How has the experience shaped you? It's been an unforgettable journey. Telangana is breathtaking, the culture, the architecture, the natural beauty but what touched me most was the warmth of the people. Whether it was the locals or my fellow contestants, we shared so many meaningful moments together. I will be taking home not just stories, but memories that will stay with me forever. What message would you like to give to young girls around the world who dream of being on this stage one day? Just daring to dream of standing on this stage is a victory in itself. If you believe in yourself, stay true to your values, and work toward a purpose bigger than yourself, you can get here. Miss World is not just about beauty, it is about impact. Use your voice, stand for something meaningful, and do not give up, even when things get hard.
