Coronation Street's Luca Toolan announces next career move after soap exit
Coronation Street actor Luca Toolan, known for playing Mason Radcliffe, is switching up his career after being killed off in the soap. His character Mason was recently part of a storyline that saw him get fatally stabbed by his brothers. So, now Toolan won't be appearing in the ITV soap, he's turned his focus to a new job. After 18 months on the soap, Luca will now start teaching acting classes for upcoming talents, reports The Mirror. The newspaper said the actor took to social media to announce his career change. In a video, he said: 'I am keeping myself busy as best as possible and I am running some acting classes.' He added: 'I am teaching at Bee Rogue Talent so thank you to those guys.' Luca explained to his followers what his students can expect from the classes: 'It is going to be great and we are going to do a lot of script analysis, improvisation, character development and learning and teaching the craft of acting.' He added that he was 'super excited' for his new venture. On leaving Coronation Street, Luca shared some pictures to his Instagram account and thanked those on the show, writing: 'Thank you. 'What an honour and privilege it's been to be apart of this show, and to be trusted with this story. Truly. Coronation Street star Mason swaps cobbles for 'normal job' after dramatic axe
Coronation Street's Luca Toola, who played troubled Mason Radcliffe, has announced he is swapping the drama of a cobbles for a new job off-screen after his character was dramatically killed off just weeks ago. Mason's journey on the soap came to a tragic end when ITV writers decided to axe the character. The 21-year-old met his demise after a fatal stabbing in a jaw-dropping episode, leaving no doors open for a return. After a year and a half on Coronation Street, Luca shared to his social media followers that he's taken up teaching. Eager to share his craft, Luca will be engaging with upcoming talents through acting classes. However, it seems this teaching stint might not be Luca's final act, as he hints at more screen time to come. With broadcasting in his blood—his father being radio icon Mike Toolan—Luca has teased his involvement in a forthcoming comedy series. A new show titled 'Grass Roots' is about to bring a father-son duo to the stage in Preston, with 'Loose Women' star Sheree Murphy set to lead the cast as she returns to the limelight after a seven-year hiatus. Joining her in this pilot are familiar faces including Kim Tiddy of 'The Bill' and 'Hollyoaks' fame, and Zak Douglas, known for 'G'Wed' and Good Ship Murder. Over in Weatherfield, Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan, met a tragic end on 'Coronation Street' when his brothers, Matty and Logan, viciously stabbed him with Dylan Wilson's knife in the play park. Luca took to Instagram to voice his gratitude and bid adieu, sharing: "Thank you. What an honour and privilege it's been to be a part of this show, and to be trusted with this story. Truly.
