Shweta Tiwari Reveals Her Fitness Secrets: ‘Pilates And Little Weight Training'
Shweta Tiwari revealed that she does Pilates and little weight training but refrains from doing yoga. Shweta Tiwari is a familiar face in the television industry. While speaking with comedian Bharti Singh and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, on their YouTube channel, Bharti TV, the actress revealed that she does Pilates and little weight training but refrains from doing yoga. On being asked about her take on yoga, Shweta quipped, 'Whenever I try to do yoga and close my eyes, I start thinking, 'Oh, I have to buy groceries, do the laundry, and all sorts of other things.'" With a laugh, she concluded, saying that yoga just isn't her thing because her mind never switches off. Earlier, the actress talked about her remarkable body transformation and weight loss journey on Instagram. Revealing how she lost 10 kg of weight after the second pregnancy, she stated that the only way she was able to get fit again was by managing her diet. Nevertheless, the actress mentioned that she had incorporated a cheat day within her diet. Shweta gave huge credit for her fitness to her celebrity dietician and nutritionist, Kinita Kadakia Patel. She revealed how the nutritionist took full care of her diet to get the right weight and planned a diet since she was too busy to find time to exercise. Shweta's diet had a very good balance of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. She also consumed a lot of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Besides this, she also included fresh fruit juices and coconut water. Actor Shweta Tiwari recently spoke about her relationship with daughter Palak Tiwari and revealed that they are like friends. In a conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa for their YouTube channel Bharti TV, Shweta also opened up about her parenting style, revealing how she used to track Palak's phone and made her do household chores in exchange for money. She spoke about the importance of discipline and punctuality in Palak's life, especially when it comes to setting boundaries. She explained that if Palak promised to return home by 1 am, then she should be at the doorstep at that time — not just leaving the party. Even though she doesn't drink, people around her did. She got her first phone when she came to college. She was 16 when she got her makeup. She used to go without makeup to school functions." Shweta Tiwari on managing Palak Tiwari's finances Shweta recalled how she used to manage Palak's spending and said, "She was given a budget. For instance, I allowed her to spend ₹25,000 and if she went from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, she knew that she would be asked to do household chores to compensate for it. There was a full list of chores. For cleaning her bathroom, she would get ₹1,000, ₹500 for making the bed, and ₹1,000 for doing the dishes. So she would do all of these things, and when she knew she was going to go over budget, she would do extra chores beforehand." Shweta made her mark in the television industry with her portrayal of Prerna Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She went on to participate in Bigg Boss season 4 and emerged as the winner of the show. She recalled working for 72 hours continuously while shooting for daily soaps. Shweta also praised Ektaa Kapoor for her relentless hard work and dedication, and revealed that she wouldn't sleep either! In a recent podcast on the Bharti TV YouTube channel, Shweta Tiwari talked about the intense working conditions, mentioning the television industry's reputation for never sleeping. She recalled her schedule, working 72 hours straight, and being paid for 45 days in a month because of her exhaustive shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and then from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day. 'Hum log poori industry main famous hai ki koi sota nahi tha. Mai 72 hours shoot karti thi. 30 days ka mahina hota hai, mereko 45 days ka cheque milta tha. Subah 7 se shaam ke 7 tak ek hota tha, shaam 7 se agle din subah 7 tak do hote the. (We were known across the entire industry for never sleeping. I used to shoot for 72 hours straight. A month has 30 days, but I used to get paid for 45 days. One shift would be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and then another from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day)," she said. Shweta Tiwari Praises Ektaa Kapoor's Dedication Shweta also commended Ektaa Kapoor's commitment, noting that it wasn't only the actors who had such gruelling schedule. Ektaa, managing 22 shows, rarely slept and was always available to answer calls promptly. Her detailed explanations ensured that no one went wrong, and her passion was evident during rehearsals where she often delivered lines better than the actors. 'It wasn't just us actors who worked like that, Ektaa did it too. Ektaa didn't sleep; she had 22 shows running. Whenever you called her, she'd answer in just one ring. She would explain everything in detail, and once Ektaa explained something, there was no way you could go wrong. Whenever she delivered a line during rehearsals, it felt like she was saying it better than you. That's how passionate she was!" said Shweta. Shweta concluded by reflecting on how Ektaa used to create shows to satisfy her creativity and imagination rather than just for audience approval. She lamented that now, it's all about TRPs, with content being driven by viewer ratings rather than creative satisfaction.
