Police seek public help to find downtown stabbing suspects
Santa Fe police are asking for the public's help in identifying suspects in a downtown stabbing.
Police responded to a reported stabbing early Sunday morning near the 100 block of Galisteo Street, Deputy Chief Ben Valdez wrote in a news release. There, officers found a 39-year-old victim with an apparent stab wound who reported going to a downtown bar where three men robbed and stabbed him during a fight.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, Valdez wrote.
A search of the immediate area did not result the suspects' capture, but officers found surveillance footage showing the three men reported by the victim to be involved in the attack, Valdez said. The three suspects were:
* A man reportedly carrying a knife, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, and red and black shoes.
* A man wearing an NBA-style jersey over a black long-sleeve shirt featuring the number 21 or 81, dark sunglasses and light jeans.
* A man wearing a dark shirt, black baseball cap, green jacket and dark pants.
"The Santa Fe Police Department is seeking assistance identifying the three suspects," Valdez wrote.
