Arizona Cardinals to find out about potential international game on Tuesday
Arizona Cardinals to find out about potential international game on Tuesday The Cardinals possibly will play in one of the seven international games scheduled for 2025. The NFL will release the 2025 regular-season schedule Wednesday, May 14, but some of the games will be announced earlier. The Arizona Cardinals and their fans will find out on Tuesday whether they have an international game on the schedule. The league announced that the seven international games scheduled for 2025 will be announced on Tuesday, May 14 on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football." 2025 NFL international games The New York Jets will be the designated home team in a London game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Cleveland Browns will be the designated home team in a second game at the same stadium. The Indianapolis Colts will be the designated home team in a Berlin game at Olympic Stadium. The Miami Dolphins will be the designated home team in a Madrid game at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the designated home team for a game in Dublin at Croke Park. The L.A. Chargers will be the home team for a game in Sao Paulo at Corinthians Arena. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be the designated home team in a London game at Wembley Stadium. Possible international games for Arizona Cardinals The Cardinals play the Chargers in 2025 but will play at State Farm Stadium, so the Brazil game is off the table for the Cardinals. They also play the Jaguars, but also at home, and they will not face either the Browns or Jets. That means no London game. They don't play the Steelers or Dolphins, so no Madrid or Dublin game. However, as they play the Colts on the road, there is the possibility they will play in Berlin. And since the Cardinals recently signed undrafted rookie offensive lineman Valentin Senn, who is from neighboring Austria, there is a small little cool tidbit that could impact the decision. Austrian tight end Bernhard Seikovits spent 2021-2024 on the practice squad for the Cardinals as well. So when "Good Morning Football" announces the seven international games for 2025, we will know whether or not the Cardinals will play the Colts in Berlin. Arizona Cardinals to use international exemption on rookie free agent OL
Arizona Cardinals to use international exemption on rookie free agent OL After four years of TE Bernhard Seikovits on the team through the international exemption, the Cardinals will used it on a new player in 2025 The Arizona Cardinals have a new player on their roster with an international exemption. Austrian tight end Bernhard Seikovits spent the last four years on their practice squad through the international exemption the NFL allows for teams having a player from the International Pathway Program. However, that changes this year. The Cardinals released Seikovits after they announced the addition of six rookie free agents. According to Cards Wire's Howard Balzer, the Cardinals will use the international exemption on one of their undrafted rookies — offensive lineman Valentin Senn. Senn is Austrian like Seikovits. He played collegiately for Colorado in 2020 and then the last four years for UConn, starting the last three seasons at left tackle. Before his college football days, he played three years for the Swarco Raiders in Tirol, Austria. Assuming he shows something in the offseason, we can expect Senn to be on the practice squad this year. Arizona Cardinals release Austrian TE Bernhard Seikovits, OL Matthew Jones
Arizona Cardinals release Austrian TE Bernhard Seikovits, OL Matthew Jones After four years on the Cardinals' offseason roster and practice squad, Bernhard Seikovits has been cut A day after the Arizona Cardinals announced the addition of six rookie free agents, they had to trim the offseason roster. They made those moves on Tuesday. They released that tight end Benhard Seikovits and offensive lineman Matt Jones were released. Jones was added to the practice squad in late December and then re-signed for 2025. He joined the NFL last year as an undrafted rookie out of Ohio State and signed with the Miami Dolphins. He was cut before the season began and then was not in the league until the Cardinals added him to the practice squad. Seikovits' release is the end of an era. He spent the last four years with the Cardinals on the practice squad through the international exemption for coming through the league's International Pathways Program. He was awarded to the team in May of 2021 and had been with the team ever since. The Cardinals are now using their international exemption on rookie free agent Valentin Senn, an offensive lineman out of Connecticut. He, like Seikovits, is from Austria. With that exemption, we can Senn to be with the team all season. Get more Cardinals and NFL coverage from Cards Wire's Jess Root and others by listening to the latest on the Rise Up, See Red podcast. Cardinals cut TE Bernhard Seikovits, OL Matthew Jones
The Cardinals announced a pair of cuts on Tuesday. They have dropped tight end Bernhard Seikovits and offensive lineman Matthew Jones from the roster. Seikovits has spent the last four years with the Cardinals, but never appeared in a regular season game. The Austrian native had a roster exemption as an international player and that exemption will now be used on tackle Valentin Senn, who agreed to sign with the Cardinals after going undrafted out of UConn. Jones was one of seven players with that surname on the Cardinals' roster. He signed with the Dolphins after going undrafted out of Ohio State last year. He signed to the Cardinals' practice squad in December.

2025 offseason roster profile: TE Bernhard Seikovits
The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are still weeks away from free agency and months from the NFL draft. Over the next little while, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team. We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season. Next up is tight end Bernhard Seikovits. 2024 Bernhard Seikovits stats, season Seikovits, who originally joined the Cardinals in 2021 as part of the league's International Pathways Program out of Austria, has spent the last four seasons exclusively on the practice squad, taking advantage of the exemption, giving the Cardinals a 17-player practice squad instead of 16. For the first three years, if he was initially placed on the practice squad with that exemption, he was ineligible to be elevated to the active roster. Last year, that rule was taken away, but he never was. He earned the honor of being the final Pat Tillman practice player of the week of the season. 2025 contract status Seikovits signed a futures deal for 2025 after the season's conclusion in January. He will make $840,000 in salary if he makes the team. Outlook for 2025 Unless he takes big strides, he seems destined to another season on the practice squad. The coaches really like him. He would like to be able to someday play on Sundays. We will at least get to see him in training camp and the preseason.
