Matt Hardy and CM Punk shared a relationship full of ups and downs. The duo shared the same team during the WWE Survivor Series 2006. Hardy, in one of his podcast episodes, even talked about the relationship between him and the Best in the World. Hardy stated that he had no issues with Punk.
Matt Hardy reflects on CM Punk's
Saudi Arabia controversy
CM Punk issued an apology on his controversial Saudi Arabia statement.
The apology came in before the Night of Champions kicked off. Punk made a statement at The Miz in 2019. He had said, 'Go s*ck a Blood Money-covered d**k in Saudi Arabia.' Even though the wrestler issued the apology, he was criticised for the comment.
Reflecting on the statement, Hardy stated in the same podcast, 'He's an employee, he has a job. He's one of the top guys, one of the top acts in WWE, and they wanted him to do that, and that was, like, his job requirement,' the wrestler continued. 'It's one of those things, especially if you're trying to be a good employee. Even if something you don't want to do, you have to know you're going to take a hit in it.'
