In a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the wrestler made a bold statement. Hardy was supposed to appear on AEW Collision. He was in talks with the promoter Tony Khan just a day before the event.
'I talk with Tony, and Tony's like, 'Yes, I want you tomorrow, be out in the corner with Ethan.
I definitely want you there,'' Hardy stated how his appearance was later cancelled, 'They say, 'Just heard that you're not needed for tomorrow's event.''

CM Punk issued an apology on his controversial Saudi Arabia statement.
The apology came in before the Night of Champions kicked off. Punk made a statement at The Miz in 2019. He had said, 'Go s*ck a Blood Money-covered d**k in Saudi Arabia.' Even though the wrestler issued the apology, he was criticised for the comment.
Reflecting on the statement, Hardy stated in the same podcast, 'He's an employee, he has a job. He's one of the top guys, one of the top acts in WWE, and they wanted him to do that, and that was, like, his job requirement,' the wrestler continued. 'It's one of those things, especially if you're trying to be a good employee. Even if something you don't want to do, you have to know you're going to take a hit in it.'
