Bahrain Indian School Celebrates Labour Day
views Bhavans Bahrain Indian School celebrated Labour Day, emphasizing the dignity of work and the contributions made by workers in our society. The school organized a series of engaging activities that brought students together to express their appreciation for the efforts of all workers. The celebrations commenced with an initiative by the kindergarteners, who crafted beautiful thank-you cards for their nannies. A special assembly led by Grade 7 Mercury featured a thought-provoking speech on the significance of Labour Day, a captivating video presentation on the life of Abraham Lincoln, and a dance performance that celebrated the dignity of labor. In the primary grades, teachers presented a short video on the importance of Labour Day. For the middle school students, a slogan-making competition was held. Meanwhile, senior students were engaged in a group discussion on the topic, 'Is all work equal in dignity?' The celebration was overseen by our esteemed Directors, Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma, along with our Principal, Saji Jacob, who expressed their pride in the students' efforts to honour the spirit of Labour Day

BIS honours student achievements at annual awards event
Bhavans Bahrain Indian School held its Annual Awards Ceremony celebrating the remarkable achievements of its students for the academic year 2024-25. The event highlighted the outstanding performances across various disciplines, recognizing both academic and extracurricular excellence. During the ceremony, students were presented with Achievement Awards for achieving the highest marks in their respective grades. This accolade reflects their dedication, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence. In addition, students who demonstrated exceptional commitment to their education were honored with 100% Attendance Awards, showcasing their dedication and perseverance throughout the year. The achievements extended beyond academics, as BIS students were also recognized for their participation in the SOF Olympiads, achievements in the National Genius Search Examination (NGSE)as well as sports and extracurricular activities throughout the year. The Directors of BIS Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma expressed their pride in the students' accomplishments. 'Today, we celebrate not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of our students.' Principal Saji Jacob also addressed the audience, stating, 'Their achievements reflect their determination and the exceptional teaching staff that guides them.'

Bhavans - BIS commemorates Earth Day
In honour of Earth Day, Bhavans Bahrain Indian School (BIS) hosted a school-wide celebration on April 22nd , engaging students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in a vibrant day of learning, reflection, and creativity aimed at promoting environmental awareness and action. Classrooms and hallways came alive as students across grades collaborated to create stunning Earth Day-themed board decorations. Science teachers across the school conducted engaging presentations and interactive sessions, enlightening students about climate change, renewable energy, the dangers of plastic pollution, and everyday steps we can take to reduce our carbon footprint. Adding a heartwarming touch to the celebration were inspiring stories of environmental change shared by students and staff. In another interactive segment, the 'Wheel of Plantation' added an element of excitement, selecting lucky classes to plant saplings as part of BIS's ongoing green initiative. Reflecting on the celebration, BIS Directors Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma remarked, 'Let us embrace the journey towards conscientious living. Every action we take, no matter how small, contributes to a positive impact. Through our collective efforts, we strive for a brighter, greener future.' Principal Sajj Jacob added, 'Let us be mindful of our choices and the influence they have in shaping a sustainable world for generations to come.'

Bhavans Bahrain Indian School celebrates KG graduation day
Bhavans Bahrain Indian School celebrated its Kindergarten Graduation Day, marking a significant milestone for the young graduates. The event featured a distinguished array of guests, including the Chief Guest, Muneera Aldoseri from the Directorate of Licensing and Follow-up of Private Schools, Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Bahrain. The event was attended by the School Directors, Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma; Principal, Saji Jacob; Vice Principal, Dr. Preet Kamal Bhatnagar; and KG Coordinator, Sharil Dimri. Director Himanshu Verma expressed his pride in the students' achievements and emphasized the importance of nurturing a positive mindset as they transition to the next stage of their education. 'Today marks not just the end of a chapter in their educational journey, but the beginning of new and exciting adventures,' he stated. Further BIS Director Ritu Verma congratulated the young enthusiastic graduates. Principal Saji Jacob also addressed the audience, congratulating the graduates on their accomplishments.
