Akshay Kumar's Car Impounded For Illegal Tinted Windows, Jammu Traffic Police Say 'Law Same For All'
Traffic police in Jammu impounded Akshay Kumar's car for illegal window tinting. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar faced an unexpected roadblock on Tuesday when traffic authorities in Jammu impounded his car for violating legal tint limits. The vehicle, used for a public event, was found with black-tinted windows exceeding the permissible level under the Motor Vehicles Act. Officials conducted a standard traffic naka check, spotting the illegal tint. SSP Traffic Jammu City, Farooq Kaiser, said, 'The law is the same for all. The car was found with tinted glasses beyond the permissible limit during our routine naka. The vehicle has been impounded, and appropriate action will follow." The Traffic Police stressed that safety and visibility rules are strictly enforced, regardless of the owner's status. Vehicles with unauthorised modifications or illegal tints may be impounded or fined until compliance is ensured. Event organisers confirmed that Akshay Kumar's public appearance went ahead as planned, with alternative transport arranged after the impoundment. Officials reminded vehicle owners to follow legal tinting limits and warned that strict enforcement would continue. Under the law, vehicle owners or authorised representatives must remove the illegal tint and pay any fines before reclaiming their vehicles.
