Wamiqa Gabbi was last seen in the Rajkummar Rao-starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf, a romantic comedy film written and directed by Karan Sharma. The film follows the story of Ranjan, a small-town romantic boy from Banaras, who lands a government job to marry Titli but gets trapped in a time loop after he forgets a vow.
Up next, the actress will be seen in G2 with Adivi Sesh and Emraan Hashmi. The film is scheduled to release on May 1, 2026. Besides the two, the film stars Banita Sandhu, Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda and Madhu Shalini in prominent roles. Along with the release date, the makers also dropped the first look poster of Sesh, Hashmi and Wamiqa from the forthcoming action spy thriller, adding to the buzz around the release.
Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, G2 is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad's People Media Factory, in collaboration with Abhishek Agarwal's Abhishek Agarwal Arts and AK Entertainments.
If reports are to be believed, Wamiqa Gabbi will also be headlining Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 along with Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh. That's not all, Wamiqa has Bhool Bangla, Kuku Ki Kandali and a few more projects lined up in her kitty. Most recently, it was also reported that she has been roped in to headline another Dharma Productions film, directed by Shakun Batra.

Veteran Marathi actor Jyoti Chandekar passes away at 69
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 17 (ANI): Veteran Marathi actor Jyoti Chandekar passed away at the age of 69 on August 16 in Pune, her daughter actress, best known for her role as 'Poorna Aji' in the TV show 'Tharala Tar Mag,' had been unwell for a daughter, Tejaswini Pandit, took to her Instagram on Saturday to confirm the news of her passing along with an emotional note. 'It is with deep sorrow that I share the news that our mother, the esteemed and beloved actress Mrs. Jyoti Chandekar Pandit, who lived life on her own terms and always smiled wholeheartedly, passed away today, 16th August, at the age of 69 after a brief illness," she wrote in Marathi Chandekar's funeral took place on Sunday morning at Pune's Vaikunth television channel 'Star Pravah', which airs Tharala Tar Mag, also paid tribute to the actor, remembering her warm presence and significant contribution to Marathi entertainment. Jyoti Chandekar started acting at the age of 12 and worked for over five decades in theatre, films, and television. She became a familiar face in Marathi households and earned respect for her powerful performances. Her notable films include Mee Sindhutai Sapkal (2010) and Guru (2016). She also acted alongside her daughter, Tejaswini Pandit, in the award-winning film Ticha Umbartha, directed by Dipti Ghonsikar, where she played Pandit's mother-in-law. (ANI)
