Saiyaara Song On Spotify's Top 50: Tanishk Bagchi Says ‘Rights Not With Me, I'll Only Get…'
Saiyaara music composer Tanishk Bagchi says that while topping Spotify global charts will help in positioning, he's sure that it won't translate to financial or commercial gains. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer Saiyaara has once again created history. The title track composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Arslan Nizami and sung by Faheem Abdullah is now standing at number one in Spotify's viral 50 global chart. It has become the first Bollywood song to achieve such a feat, surpassing global musical sensations like Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, BLACKPINK and Sabrina Carpenter. Sharing his excitement, Tanishk exclusively tells News18 Showsha, 'This is something really special." Crediting director Mohit Suri, he says, 'I knew that it would be the number one song in India but for it to top global charts was something that I didn't expect. It came as a surprise. But the credit goes to Mohit sir. He treated and guided us like school children. I attribute all of this to his captainship. A huge credit goes to Arslan and Faheem. They're incredible, they're geniuses. They've so much soul in their music, voice and song writing." So, what does this mean for Hindi film music? 'It will definitely help in positioning. We've proved that Bollywood music has the power to make it to the global stage. Hanumankind achieved this feat too [with Big Dawgs] but his composition was in English. It had earned the seventh spot. Ours is a pure Hindi song. I'm so glad that we've achieved a world record," remarks Tanishk. He continues, 'International labels keep saying there's K-pop from South Korea, Afro music from Africa and house music from Sweden but there's nothing from India that makes it to the charts. We try to achieve such feats by making English songs or by collaborating with international artists but we haven't been successful. But we became successful with Saiyaara. The singer, the composers and the producer are Indian. The mixing also happened in India. And that's why it's a very big achievement." However, Tanishk believes that this success may not translate to big financial gains. Prod him further and he states, 'I don't know what impact it will have commercially and financially because I know that jo chal raha hai woh hi chalta jaayega. Aisa koi tor phor nahi hone waala. The laws pertaining to royalty and publishing is very different in the West compared to India. When it comes to our royalty scene here, we don't get much money." While he has accepted the scenario, Tanishk looks forward to composing an international track soon that helps him get his rightful share of royalties. 'Jaise international artists ko milta hai, humein nahi milta unless you own the publishing rights. The rights of the title track of Saiyaara isn't with me. It's with the music label. I'll only get so much money. I try to not bother myself because it is what it is. But when I make an international song in the future, I know that I'll earn in billions. I'm waiting for that moment," he says. First Published: July 28, 2025, 07:42 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Big Stepper: Behind the scenes of LEGO tribute to Hanumankind's Big Dawgs
Bringing the LEGO characters to life, with a focus on capturing the spirit of the original song, was, in fact, a labour-intensive yet creative process for the team. 'The key was to nail the animation – the timing, look and making the LEGO Hanumankind easily recognisable,' Patil explains. The team poured their hearts into the project and ensured that the final product met their standards, he adds. The tribute features iconic elements from the original, including the well of death and stunt drivers. 'We wanted it to feel like an alternate universe where Big Dawgs dropped as a LEGO music video,' Patil says. He credits teamwork for the final product, meeting their creative vision. 'We've got artists, creatives, and technologists who are sharp, flexible, and visual. We all had different tastes in music, but the original track brought everyone together. We locked in on the music video's vision – and reimagined it, brick by brick, in LEGO,' he explains. The team's lighting supervisor, Rakshith Hoskote, adapted the pipeline developed for their LEGO feature film, which helped streamline the process,' shares Patil. As a tribute, the team focused more on reframing and not enhancing the original track. He notes, 'It's a homage, not a remix.' When asked about the support extended to the team, Patil shared, 'We are grateful for the encouragement from Hanumankind and his team. They even shared a family-friendly version of the track for us to use, since LEGO naturally leans toward all ages. We also got good response from Bijoy Shetty and Kalmi (director and producer, respectively, of the original music video).'

In a world that celebrates quick successes, Fuel Your Hustle is a tribute to the consistent effort behind greatness. The film reveals the relentless pursuit of progress that defines icons like Shah Rukh Khan, who overcame early struggles as a young actor, and Mary Kom, who defied the societal norms around motherhood. It also spotlights the unseen hours and discipline of AR Rahman, and the relentless practice on and off the pitch of Jasprit Bumrah. These icons show us that wins are forged through persistence, despite doubts and setbacks. Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney, marketing, Zomato, said, 'This campaign is for a new generation of doers, a reminder that even the stars they look up to started small, stumbled, and kept going. It's a cheer for the millions of Indians building something, following dreams, caring for loved ones and for themselves, even when it's hard and no one's clapping.' Zomato has launched a 360-degree campaign across digital, outdoor, social media platforms, and print media. Shah Rukh Khan said, 'I've only ever truly believed in hard work. Long hours, late nights, they don't feel heavy when it's for something you love. It's not about doing it because you have to, it's because you want to give it your all.' Mary Kom said, 'Most days weren't about winning. They were about showing up — for training, for my family, for myself. It wasn't always perfect, but I knew what I was fighting for. I didn't start out strong, I became strong, slowly, one day at a time.' A R Rahman said, 'Every day is day one. Even now, I feel like I'm just getting started. It's a joy to be part of an inspiring narrative—alongside people I genuinely admire and cheer for.' Jasprit Bumrah said, 'Nothing comes easy. You've got to put in the work — every single day. Every session, every rep, even when no one's watching. Hustle is part of every journey, but no one sees it. Zomato is showing the world a sneak peak of that grind.' Watch the video here:

Hanumankind's ‘Big Dawgs' gets a shot-for-shot Lego remake, fans say ‘this is a beautiful homage'
Rapper Hanumankind's popular track Big Dawgs just got a quirky new spin — and it's all in Lego. A YouTube channel named 'What We Cookin?' dropped a revamped version of the Big Dawgs music video, and it's not your usual remix. The entire video has been recreated shot-for-shot using Lego characters, and fans can't get enough of it. From the visuals to the vibe, the Lego version mirrors every frame of the original video, right down to the smallest detail. But what really makes it stand out is the creativity and precision behind the animation — turning a gritty hip-hop video into a colourful Lego world, without losing the song's original energy. Fans of Hanumankind, known for his slick flow and bold visuals, have flooded the comments section with love. 'Killed it guys. You've matched everything so freaking perfectly (sic),' wrote one impressed viewer. Another joked, 'We got Lego Hanumankind before GTA VI (sic),' while a third called it 'an absolutely BEAUTIFUL homage to Hanumankind (sic),' praising both the tribute and the man behind the mic. One fan simply summed it up with, 'Yoooo this is sick! (sic)' The video has quickly gained traction on social media, with fans sharing clips and tagging the artist. Hanumankind, known for blending heavy beats with sharp lyricism, hasn't yet commented on the Lego remake, but it's safe to say the tribute has struck a chord with his followers. In a world where fan-made content often goes unnoticed, this Lego tribute to 'Big Dawgs' stands out — fun, fresh, and full of heart.
