Last week, Shoaib and Dipika opened up about her health in a video on his YouTube channel. They revealed that the surgery, initially planned for that week, had to be postponed because Dipika was still recovering from the flu. The 'Sasural Simar Ka' actor also shared that doctors have assured them she will recover once the tumour is surgically removed. Shoaib added that she has also been experiencing pain caused by a gallbladder stone. On May 27, Dipika, sharing her cancer diagnosis on Instagram, wrote, "As you all are aware, the last few weeks have been quite difficult for us... walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach... and then finding out it's a tennis ball-sized tumour in the liver... and then finding out that the tumour is second-stage malignant (cancerous)... it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen (sic)." Dipika Kakar is best known for her role in 'Sasural Simar Ka' and was the winner of 'Bigg Boss 12'. She married actor Shoaib Ibrahim in 2018, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2023.
