Shweta Tiwari's weight loss story: Simple daily changes that helped her lose 10kgs in her 40s

Shweta Tiwari, one of the most popular faces of the telly world, graced Bigg Boss 4, capturing immense fame and winning over the trophy. Her strong and authentic personality is what fans enjoyed the most in the show. Till date she remains to be one of the most popular Bigg Boss winners of all time. Shweta Tiwari, a well-known face of Indian television, has always been admired for her charm and screen presence. But what truly caught everyone's attention was her stunning transformation post her second pregnancy. She dropped over 10 kilos in her 40s, a stage in life when weight loss feels like climbing a steep hill, especially for mothers juggling personal and professional lives. Her journey wasn't a quick-fix plan or a celebrity-only regime. It was grounded in simple, mindful changes that any regular person battling post-pregnancy weight could relate to. Here's what we need to know about her journey, separate the buzz from the facts, and see what really worked for her. A real mother's struggle, not a glamorous beginning After giving birth to her second child, Shweta's weight touched 73 kg. And just like many mothers, she found herself caught in the whirlpool of responsibilities—with a demanding career, raising two children, and managing her home life. It wasn't just about looking good on screen; it was about feeling healthy, strong, and present. There's a common misconception that celebrities bounce back effortlessly. But in truth, Shweta was open about the emotional and physical toll. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 21st Century Skills Start with Confident Communication Planet Spark Learn More Undo The journey began not from vanity, but from the need to feel alive and energised again. The real diet: Homemade, honest, and hugely effective Shweta didn't starve or follow a fancy 'detox' plan. Under the guidance of celebrity nutritionist Kinita Kadakia Patel, her diet stayed rooted in Indian kitchen staples. It included dals, brown rice, seasonal fruits, lean meats, oats, and nuts. Nothing too exotic. No juice cleanses. No meal skipping. The truth behind her food plan? Simplicity. Meals were planned to match her lifestyle and schedule. She avoided sugar, processed snacks, and late-night indulgences. Her nutritionist made sure the meals were not just healthy, but enjoyable enough to stick with for months. Shweta even credited her team for constantly following up, making sure every small habit change was sustainable, not just a short-term fix. Exercise: Not extreme, just smartly consistent Scroll through her social media, and it's clear—Shweta didn't transform overnight with intense, back-breaking workouts. Her fitness schedule included mixed strength training, cardio, and yoga. The strength training helped her build muscle and burn fat more effectively. Cardio, like jogging and brisk walks, kept her energy levels high. And yoga gave her the flexibility and calm she needed, especially while preparing for shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. Her trainer didn't just throw in new routines every week. They tailored every session to her goals, injuries, and lifestyle. That's what made the transformation consistent—and more importantly, safe. Shweta Tiwari and Palak Tiwari Mental fitness: The most underestimated part of her journey One part of her story often left unspoken in such transformations is how mentally challenging the process is. Shweta didn't just train her body—she trained her mind. She practised mindfulness and meditation, which helped her stay grounded and calm. She didn't wake up every day full of motivation. There were hard days, slow days, and days of self-doubt. But small wins—like fitting into old jeans or feeling stronger during a workout—kept her going. Weight loss wasn't just about dropping kilos. It was about finding mental clarity in a life full of noise. Family, support, and showing up for herself Shweta's journey was also shaped by her environment. With her daughter Palak Tiwari cheering her on and her son Reyansh lighting up her daily routines, she had little choice but to show up strong, not just for her fans, but for her children. She often shared how her family became her anchor. And in many ways, her transformation became a celebration of single motherhood—proof that one can rediscover oneself without letting go of everything else. 5 Exercises for quick weight loss There's something universal about Shweta Tiwari's journey. It wasn't about achieving a perfect figure or chasing youth. It was about reclaiming health after childbirth, rising above the fatigue of everyday life, and pushing through the mental fog. Her story isn't just inspiration. It's a reminder that weight loss isn't always about willpower—it's about structure, support, and showing up every day, even when no one's watching. 'Eternally Grateful': Palak Tiwari Reveals Lessons Learnt From Salman Khan

In a recent chat, Palak Tiwari reflected on the journey she had while making her acting debut with superstar Salman Khan. Actress Shweta Tiwari's daughter, Palak Tiwari, made her acting debut with Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in 2023. Along with the memorable experience of working alongside the superstar, the 24-year-old also learned valuable lessons about balancing her professional and personal life. Recently, in a candid conversation, Palak reflected on her journey and shared insights about her growth and learnings. In a conversation with the Bombay Times, Palak Tiwari talked about her acting debut opposite Salman Khan. Calling the experience 'daunting", she mentioned, 'In a room full of legends, I wondered—what's my point here?" However, she also had a quick realisation. 'But I realised I was there to learn. I think it's shaped me as an actor permanently, whatever I learnt and my experience from that set for which I am always and eternally grateful for that experience," she elaborated. Tiwari continued discussing the valuable lessons she got from her Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Salman Khan during the filming of their movie. The actress mentioned how the superstar taught her to balance work with youth. 'Party till 5 am, shoot at 7 am," she said. Check out the entire conversation here: In addition to this, Palak also revealed that her mother, Shweta, keeps being her biggest critic and compass. She said, 'She's my filter. When I feel something about a performance but can't explain it, she puts it into words." adding, 'I feel like speaking to her is sometimes speaking to a future version of myself, so that also feels good because I think she and I were very similar at our ages, though I am more vain and perhaps more materialistic. My mom was always very family-focused. But there are times when I am just like, how should I do this, and because she has had exactly those thoughts in exactly that age, she knows exactly how to explain it to me, and I think that is invaluable to me." Speaking about Palak and Salman's bond, the duo has known each other since Palak's childhood. Their connection dates back to when Shweta Tiwari participated in Bigg Boss 4, and a young Palak had visited the sets to support her mother. During the trailer launch of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman fondly recalled the moment, saying, 'I worked with her mother in Bigg Boss. She had come to drop her off at the house. [That season] had Dolly (Bindra) too (laughs). But her mother had a great time in the house. I remember Palak was eight years old then. That was the first time I met her." Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, and Vinali Bhatnagar in key roles. Rahul Bhatt On Mahesh Bhatt And Pooja Bhatt's Infamous Kissing Pic: "We Knew The Truth"

New Delhi: More than three decades ago, Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt featured on a magazine cover where they were pictured sharing a kiss. The picture sparked widespread controversy and continues to drive conversations around the family dynamics of the Bhatts. Rahul Bhatt, brother of Pooja Bhatt, recently was asked to share his thoughts about the picture. Being unfazed, Rahul recalled that he was only 14 years old when the picture was published. In a conversation with Hindi Rush, Rahul said, "Kuch farq nahi padta. It's like water off a duck's back. Hum jaante hain sach kya hai, aur humne bachpan se sab dekha hai, (We knew the truth. We had seen this since childhood)." Rahul also added how growing up in film family helped him handle public scrutiny without letting it overpower them. "Film parivaar ke bachche ya toh bohot messed up hote hain, ya bohot mazboot. Log sochte hain humein chinta hoti hai, lekin aisa nahi hai," said Rahul. Pooja Bhatt had also addressed the controversy in the past, most notably in a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan. She called the photo moment "absolutely innocent" and expressed disbelief at how easily people project their own biases. "Agar log baap-beti ke rishte ko hi galat nazar se dekh sakte hain, toh woh kuch bhi soch sakte hain. Aur fir hum family values ki baat karte hain? Bahut badi joke hai," pointing out the hypocrisy behind the moral outrage. In the same interview, Rahul Bhatt said his sister is better than Alia Bhatt in terms of talent, sexiness and other attributes. In 2010, Rahul was a contestant in the reality show Bigg Boss 4.

Ranbir Kapoor's fame, praise for Animal doesn't matter, says brother-in-law Rahul Bhatt: 'Bas ek cheez matter karti hai'

Ranbir Kapoor is arguably the most popular and respected Hindi film actor of his generation. With successes like Animal, Brahmastra, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, he has developed box office bankability too. But even as he is earning fame and praise too, his brother-in-law Rahul Bhatt feels that none of it matters. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Rahul, a fitness trainer, spoke about his bond with his half-sister Alia Bhatt and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. Talking about Ranbir, Rahul said, "He is a great father. I think that is the most important thing a man should be. I respect him for that. Acting samajh nahi aati mujhe. I don't get who is actor, what is Animal, and who is a Kapoor. It doesn't matter. He is a good father and he loves his daughter. For me, nothing else matters. Sirf ek cheez matter karti hai life me. All this fame, Animal (the praise for it) will come and go. What it comes to is that he is a good father, he respects my step-sister (half-sister, Alia) and that's all. Everything else is all supplementary." Rahul also spoke about the equation he shares with Alia. Rahul and sister Pooja Bhatt are the children of director Mahesh Bhatt from his first wife. Alia is the daughter of Mahesh and his second wife, actor Soni Razdan. "She is a mother now, and she is very successful. One can't pick up the phone and say 'I am coming to meet you'. I never shared that with anybody. You have to maintain a protocol. But, I am happy for her. She has got the right husband and she is a good mother." Rahul is a fitness trainer based in Mumbai. He appeared on the reality show, Bigg Boss 4, in 2010, but did not make it to the finale.
