Last Updated: The makers have confirmed that artificial intelligence is going to play a major role in this season. One of Indian television's most popular reality shows, Bigg Boss, is gearing up to make a comeback with its 19th season. The show, popular for its high-intensity drama and controversies, once again will be hosted by none other than Salman Khan. Bigg Boss Season 19 is expected to premiere in August 2025. Bigg Boss 19 Theme And Format While earlier reports suggested that Salman Khan had already shot the promo on July 21, the latest reports have surfaced regarding the theme and format of this much-awaited show. According to a report by Indian Express, the theme for Bigg Boss 19 was initially speculated to be 'rewind.' However, the makers have confirmed that artificial intelligence is going to play a major role in this season. As per the report, the makers are also set to introduce multiple fresh twists, with one of the biggest changes being in the elimination process, as in the upcoming season, housemates will have the power to decide the eliminations. As per the Indian Express, a source informed the outlet that in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss, contestants will get the upper hand. From the eviction process to rationing or choosing the tasks, contestants will play a predominant role in making various crucial decisions this season. The source further informed that this season will make a shift from 'Bigg Boss chahte hai" to 'Bigg Boss janna chahte hai." Bigg Boss 19 Contestants The latest report has already created significant buzz among the audience. Previous reports also suggested that, as of now, 45 celebrities have been approached to become contestants in the show. As per the Bigg Boss Taza Khabar account, various TV personalities and influencers were previously approached for the season. Some of them include Miley Jab Hum Tum actress Rati Pandey, Hunar Hali, Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid, Mr. Faisu, Dhanashree Verma, Sreeram Chandra, Meera Deosthale, and Bhavika Sharma, among others. A UAE-based robot, Habubu, was also reported to appear on the show; however, as per the Indian Express, a source informed the outlet that the robot might not be able to come on the show. According to the outlet, the Bigg Boss house is said to be ready by August 20 for the upcoming season. Like previous seasons, art director and filmmaker Omung Kumar and his wife, Vanita Garud, will design the Bigg Boss house with a unique artistic flair. After much speculation, countless discussions, and several rounds of back and forth, the controversial reality show Bigg Boss is finally gearing up to return to television next month. As per a report in Indian Express, Salman Khan is reportedly charging between Rs 120 to Rs 150 crores for the upcoming season. He will be hosting the show for a span of 15 weeks, with an estimated fee of Rs 8 to Rs 10 crores per weekend. A source informed the publication that since the show will mainly stream on OTT with a repeat telecast on television the same day, it's being viewed as a continuation of the OTT format. As per multiple sources, Bigg Boss 19 is not being produced on as grand a scale as some of the previous seasons, with a relatively modest budget this time around. Salman Khan, who earlier hosted the second season of the OTT version of the reality show, had allegedly charged around Rs 96 crores for his stint at that time. While his remuneration for Bigg Boss 18 was reportedly Rs 250 crores, for Bigg Boss 17 his payment was Rs 200 crores and both the seasons aired on Television. However, as the makers have roped in other hosts too for the upcoming season, Salman's payment for this version is more than what he charged during the previous OTT season. Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 19 has begun to take shape already. The actor reportedly shot for the show's promo on Monday, and contestants are still being locked. According to a few media reports, 45 people have been approached for the show this year. Salman Khan will host this season for three months and then return for the grand finale. The remaining two months will have multiple hosts running the show. Now, a source informs us that Salman is likely to shoot for the show's premiere on the 27th and 28th of August, and on the 29th of August, the contestants' performances and solo acts will be recorded, after which they will enter the house. As reported earlier, Bigg Boss 19's theme is to rewind, where the housemates will play a crucial role in evictions, and the audience will choose who to nominate. However, a theme is yet to be zeroed down on; a fanpage recently shared that Bigg Boss makers will opt for a theme that is heavily influenced by AI. However, a source has recently informed us that there is one big change in the show's format this year. 'This time it won't be 'Bigg Boss chahte hai', it will rather be 'Bigg Boss janna chahte hai'. Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 19 fees revealed, actor to charge between Rs 120-150 crores for three months
Bigg Boss 19 is all set to premiere on 30th August, and the buzz around the show has also been gaining momentum. A few days back, SCREEN had exclusively reported that this would be the longest season of the show. Now, another update is around host Salman Khan's salary for this season. As per a source, Salman Khan's rumoured fees for this season is approximately between Rs 120-150 crores. The actor will be hosting for 15 weeks in total and will be paid around Rs 8 to 10 crores per weekend. The source explained that since the show will primarily stream on OTT with a repeat telecast on TV the same day, it's being treated as an extension of the OTT version.
