Bigg Boss season 19, which will be a digital-first property, is speculated to be the longest version of the show.
As the show gears up for its launch next month, the remuneration of host
is doing the rounds in the media. As per a report in Indian Express, Salman Khan is reportedly charging between Rs 120 to Rs 150 crores for the upcoming season. He will be hosting the show for a span of 15 weeks, with an estimated fee of Rs 8 to Rs 10 crores per weekend.
A source informed the publication that since the show will mainly stream on OTT with a repeat telecast on television the same day, it's being viewed as a continuation of the OTT format. As per multiple sources, Bigg Boss 19 is not being produced on as grand a scale as some of the previous seasons, with a relatively modest budget this time around.
Salman Khan, who earlier hosted the second season of the OTT version of the reality show, had allegedly charged around Rs 96 crores for his stint at that time.
While his remuneration for Bigg Boss 18 was reportedly Rs 250 crores, for Bigg Boss 17 his payment was Rs 200 crores and both the seasons aired on Television. However, as the makers have roped in other hosts too for the upcoming season, Salman's payment for this version is more than what he charged during the previous OTT season.
Recently, Bigg Boss Taza Khabar shared an update revealing that Salman Khan filmed the promo for the upcoming season on Monday, July 21, with the shoot stretching from 2 PM to midnight. This time, the promo carries a political twist, hinting at a bold and dramatic theme for the new season.

Sonakshi Sinha's brother suggests Saiyaara is unoriginal after it destroys his movie at box office, says Anupam Kher's film was removed from theatres but his wasn't
Three Hindi films were released in theatres on July 18 – Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, Kush Sinha's Nikita Roy, and Anupam Kher's Tanvi the Great. While Saiyaara emerged as a massive blockbuster, the other two films have struggled at the box office. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Saiyaara has made over Rs 250 crore at the box office, while both Nikita Roy and Tanvi the Great are hovering at around the Rs 2 crore mark. In an interview, Kush Sinha spoke about his film's box office failure, and blamed it on the Saiyaara wave. He also claimed that Tanvi the Great was removed from theatres, but his film, Nikita Roy, wasn't. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, he was asked about Nikita Roy's underperformance, and he said that his father, Shatrughan Sinha, told him not to lose hope. 'We tried to get more screens, but sometimes, some films are swept along by a wave. At the same time, whichever theatre chains we've spoke to, they've seen the merit in the film and they've held on to it. Three films were released on the same day, and while everybody knows about the film that performed so well, the other film lost theatres.' Also read – Anupam Kher still hasn't paid his actors and financers after Rs 50 crore Tanvi the Great underperforms with under Rs 2 crore amid Saiyaara wave Kush congratulated the team behind Saiyaara for their success, but didn't identify the film by name. 'Nobody anticipated this wave, and box office results aren't in our hands. I'm happy that a romantic film starring two newcomers has done so well. I'm happy for YRF, and I want to congratulate them,' he said, adding that the 'other stakeholders' in his film could've done things differently to anticipate Saiyaara and to promote Nikita Roy more forcefully. 'Our film has survived the storm and has entered week two with 40%-50% increase in theatres,' he said. Kush said that his family has appreciated Nikita Roy, and that he has received feedback from several others as well. 'The best thing is that it is an entirely original film, we haven't plagiarised content from anywhere,' he said. When it was pointed out to him that allegations of plagiarism have been made against the makers of Saiyaara, he said, 'There have been discussions, but that is for them to answer. It's up to them to clear their names. But I've always been clear that I want to tell original stories, and if I ever do a remake, it will be an official remake. Others might not share this point of view, and that's up to them.'

‘Saiyaara' box office collection day 12 (LIVE): The Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda film directed by Mohit Suri has a slow start on second Tuesday after crossing Rs 250 crore
'Saiyaara' is just making all the right noise at the box office ever since the film released last Friday. It has completed a week and just broken several records. Not to mention, the film continues to stand tall despite minor drop in numbers over the weekdays which was expected. It also had a great second weekend and made Rs 30 crore on second Sunday which is huge. Saiyaara Movie Review From Monday onwards, it started seeing a drop. This was the first time in its run so far that the film made a single digit number. The Ahaan Panday , Aneet Padda movie, directed by Mohit Suri made Rs 9.25 crore on second Monday which is day 11. And now on day 12, till afternoon, the movie has made Rs 1.6. Thus, the total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 258.17 according to Sacnilk. There may be a growth on Tuesday, as compared to the Monday numbers as many multiplexes have discounted ticket rates on Tuesday. But even if the movie continues to score in the single digit all through the week, it will cross Rs 300 crore till Friday. On August 1, one will see 'Son Of Sardar 2' and 'Dhadak 2' clashing with each other. Thus, both these films may give competition to 'Saiyaara' if they have good worth of mouth.
