The high-octane action thriller will be directed by 'Max' fame Vijay Kartikeyan. Sudeep who is working on another film 'Billa Ranga Baasha' recently shared about the upcoming film. As per a Cinema Express report, their goal is to release 'K47' by Christmas. Sudeep is already occupied with the shooting of his massive fantasy epic 'Billa Ranga Baasha,' directed by Anup Bhandari. Speaking about juggling both films, Sudeep shared, "Billa Ranga Baasha is a grand film with massive sets and elaborate world-building, it needs time. But in the meantime, I wanted to deliver a film this year, and 'K47' is designed to be a quick, solid action entertainer. The goal is to release it by Christmas. It may seem like a stretch, but we're committed." "Yes, when a film like 'Max' works, the temptation to build a franchise is real. But 'K47' is something new altogether—new character, new tone. It's not Max 2. We didn't want to force that connection just for branding." There were also rumours about filmmaker Cheran being attached to the project at some stage. Sudeep acknowledged the collaboration in its early stages but mentioned that it didn't progress. The music for 'K47' will be composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. He also spoke about the criticism associated with him, mostly for working with non-Kannada banners. Sudeep responded with honesty, "It's not about where the banner is from. Whoever comes with a good story, I'll join hands. If big Kannada banners have stories, I'm always ready."

While confirming early discussions, he said the collaboration didn't move forward. 'Cheran is a wonderful storyteller, and I truly admire his work. We did collaborate, but the story just didn't align with where I am or the uncertainty of the Kannada industry. It didn't feel like a story for today's times. Can I attempt something like 'My Autograph' now? Honestly, I feel it would be too complicated for today's landscape.'Ajaneesh Loknath will compose the music for the film. Veteran producer TG Thyagarajan, who last produced a Kannada film in 1986 called 'Sathya Jyothi', starring Dr Vishnuvardhan, is making his return to the industry with this project. 'Sudeep is one of my favourite actors, and we're thrilled to return with 'K47',' he said. He also revealed that past efforts to collaborate with Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar didn't criticism around working with non-Kannada banners, Sudeep was candid. 'Why would I distance myself from Kannada producers? That's not true at all. Instead of asking me, ask why the big production houses here aren't approaching with stories. ‘Kichcha 47': Sudeep teams up again with Vijay Kartikeyaa after ‘Max'

Kannada superstar Sudeep has collaborated with Vijay Kartikeyaa for an action thriller. The actor-director duo first teamed up for the action drama Max in 2024. Tentatively titled Kichcha 47, the upcoming movie will be produced by Sathya Jyothi films, and presented by T G Thyagarajan. The makers released a teaser to announce the project. In the video, Sudeep appears in a stylish avatar, smoking a cigarette. The movie will go on floors from July 07, 2025. During a press conference to talk about the movie, Sudeep confirmed that Kichcha 47 isn't a sequel to Max. 'It's not Max 2. I thought we were forcing the idea of a sequel and that's not good. This will be a completely different movie. We have put the idea of Max 2 on the backburner.' Ajaneesh Loknath will compose music for the movie. J Shivakumar is the art director while Sekhar Chandra has been roped in as the cinematographer. Kichcha 47 will be produced by Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan. Vijay Kartikeyaa debuted with the blockbuster Max. Released on December 25, 2025, the film revolved around inspector Arjun Mahakshay (played by Sudeep). A day before reporting for duty after a two-month suspension, he faces an unexpected situation to handle. Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep, who quit as Bigg Boss Kannada host in 2024, has taken a U Turn on his decision. The Sandalwood star is set to return as the host of the 12th season of the popular reality show on Colors Kannada. The organisers announced the development during a press conference on June 30, 2025. The actor will host Bigg Boss Kannada for four more seasons. 'The show must go on. We need to think from the perspective of the fans who loves me as the host of the show,' said Sudeep at the presser. In December 2024, Sudeep had opened up to The Hindu about the reason behind the leaving the show. 'Let me not pretend that nothing happened. Not everybody involved in the show deserve my effort. For example, I will be somewhere in North India. I travel for the show from there and see all the episodes and then get ready for the weekend episodes. It takes a lot off effort. When the effort isn't acknowledged, I feel I can put in the same amount of hard work in my films,' he said. The actor said that he sensed honesty in the request of the organisers, convincing him to change his stance. He also clarified that he wasn't bothered about the type of contestants entering the show. 'Bigg Boss needs all kinds of characters. My only demand to the organisers was that they must have a clarity behind picking contestants.
