Pamela Anderson shares her secret for achieving great hair at any age

Pamela Anderson has always been a beauty chameleon, from her iconic eyebrows to going barefaced on the red carpet to chopping off her signature long hair. 'I think people associate me with big blond hair, but if I look at my whole life, I've always been one to change up the way that I look,' Anderson tells Bazaar US. Anderson is embracing change with open arms as she returns to acting, builds new relationships, and even stars in hair-care brand Biolage's new campaign, which focuses on rediscovering oneself (something she is very familiar with). 'I love where Biolage is going, and I love being a part of the brand's new direction,' she says. 'It feels authentic to me—a celebration of softness and strength.' Ahead, Anderson tells Bazaar how she is reinventing herself, her haircare secrets, and why she finds a haircut to be freeing. If you don't mind sharing, how old are you? I'm 57. What age do you feel in your head? Fifty seven, because I've earned it. It's important to embrace all of it. What's the biggest thing that you've rediscovered about yourself as you've gotten older? We become more ourselves. We realise that we don't have to be other people. That's the challenge. We're inundated with so many other people's thoughts that it's fun to take the time to discover how you feel, and that's what these last few years have been for me: rediscovering who I am. Time flies, but I feel like I'm in a part of my career that is just beginning. Sometimes when you feel like it's the end, it's truly the beginning. And I've just been surprised day after day with what's happening in my life. I came back home to be in my garden, and I stripped back everything to find out who I am underneath all of this. Are there any aspects of your appearance that you love more now as you've gotten older? I think we're all our own harshest critics, but I think it's best to have a very simple skincare and hair-care routine, making sure that it's cruelty-free, vegan, and as eco-friendly as possible. I think that intention is really important when making these choices. It's funny, because it may seem that I was superficial in my younger years, but I've always been a big reader, a lover of film, and a poet. When you're in the public eye, these caricatures of your life are created. But I've been the same homemaker and mother even if I was covered in glitter. Now, I just want to make it okay to walk a red carpet, go to the grocery store, or be on the cover of a magazine without makeup. I have so many people come up to me all the time and say, 'Thank you so much for doing this.' I was doing it for myself initially, but it's nice that the message has resonated with so many people, and I've been able to apply it in my work by starting my skincare line and working with brands like Biolage. What excites you about working with Biolage now? It's been really fun and truly not stressful. I think that's the secret to these things. And it's fun to be around a lot of people who also want to build things that are better for the planet. It's nice that having compassion is in fashion, and the beauty industry has changed a lot over the 30 years I've been in it. I feel like timing is wonderful, and I'm very excited that I get to do a beauty campaign and to be working as much as I am. I didn't expect it, but I'm enjoying it. Sometimes, as you get older, you look back at your life and think about what you could have done differently. But I feel like I've had enough life experiences, while still feeling young enough, to put those learnings into practice. How has your hair philosophy changed since you've gotten older? Your hair is another way to express yourself, and I've never been shy. I guess I'm genetically blessed, but I've always had very thick, healthy hair. I do like to cut it and to style it differently. It's freeing. I am a big lover of change; that's what keeps us young and excited. But hair only grows if we take care of it, and that's why I love the Biolage scalp treatments and the Full Rescue products. Biolage taps Pamela Anderson as brand ambassador

Biolage has named Pamela Anderson as the new face of the brand, marking its largest partnership in over three decades. The partnership launches June 2 with a campaign featuring Biolage's best-selling Hydra Source collection and the new Full Rescue line. Anderson will appear in several upcoming campaigns aimed at both consumers and salon professionals. "We are thrilled to partner with Pamela Anderson as she and Biolage Professional Hair Spa embark on this next chapter. Pamela is a global icon whose confident, realistic take on beauty has always inspired us. Grounded in who she is, she perfectly represents Biolage's mission of self-discovery and authentic beauty. Her journey to reconnect with the most meaningful parts of herself has transformed us from fans into true admirers," said Michael Sanchez, VP global marketing, Biolage. "A true collaboration, our first campaign together brings these ideals to life in a way that resonates with anyone, anywhere, at any age. Alongside Pamela, we're excited to strip away the noise and help our community find clarity and purpose through intentional self-care.' The announcement follows Biolage's major relaunch, which introduced vegan, cruelty-free formulas and eco-conscious packaging. Anderson, a lifelong advocate for animal rights and clean living, brings her signature elegance and authenticity to the role, perfectly capturing the brand's wellness-first approach to haircare. The campaign launches on the heels of Anderson's recent Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for her starring role in "The Last Showgirl". She will also soon appear opposite Liam Neeson in Paramount's " Naked Gun" reboot. "At this point in my life and career, it's exciting to find a brand that aligns perfectly with my values," said Anderson. "Biolage is a vegan, cruelty-free, sustainable brand that I can feel good about partnering with – plus, I love the products! It truly is a dream collaboration for me."
