Birkenstock has opened its 50th exclusive brand outlet in India, marking a key milestone in the German footwear brand's ongoing expansion across the country. Located at Phoenix Palladium Mall in Mumbai, the 1,100 square foot store showcases Birkenstock's signature footwear collection and features its widest product range in India to date.
With this latest opening, Birkenstock now operates 50 stores across 27 Indian cities, Apparel Resources India reported. With its recent pan-India expansion, the country is emerging as a strategic market within Birkenstock's global retail portfolio.
The new store offers a comprehensive product selection, including seasonal sandals, core classics, and the exclusive Birkenstock 1774 premium collection. The expansion highlights the brand's continued investment in the Indian market and its aim to serve a growing base of consumers seeking comfort-led, quality-driven footwear.
Birkenstock has opened 15 stores in India over the past year alone, and plans to launch a further five to seven stores before the end of the current financial year. This sustained pace of growth underscores the brand's confidence in Indian retail and reflects rising demand for its versatile footwear among urban consumers.
