Lava is preparing to release a new, affordable 5G smartphone, the Blaze AMOLED 2, in India soon. The company has recently shared key details of the upcoming device on its official social media handle, revealing its design and technical features ahead of its official launch. The post includes visuals that show the device in a white colour variant with a flat rear panel. The Lava branding appears at the bottom left, while the camera module is positioned at the top of the rear panel. It was earlier expected to debut in late July alongside another model, the Lava Blaze Dragon 5G. The rear panel displays a rectangular camera module in black, holding a dual-camera setup supported by an LED flash. Lava has adopted a marble-like finish for the back, distinguishing the phone's appearance. The device is expected to fall under the Rs. 15,000 price segment, based on its projected pricing and feature announcements. Additionally, Lava claims it will offer doorstep service for users, a move likely aimed at enhancing after-sales support. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM, along with an additional 6GB of virtual RAM. The device will have 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In the camera department, it is expected to come with a dual rear setup featuring a 50MP Sony sensor with a bunch of AI features. The device will run on Android 15 with a clean interface that reportedly includes no pre-installed third-party apps or bloatware. It is also expected to include an in-display fingerprint sensor and support for face recognition.

Earlier last month, Lava announced that it would launch the Blaze Dragon and Blaze AMOLED 2 in July. However, the brand only unveiled the Blaze Dragon, and we were told that the launch of the Blaze AMOLED 2 was delayed. We still don't have the Blaze AMOLED 2's launch date, but Lava has announced it's "coming soon" and revealed its key specs, design, and colors. Lava Blaze Dragon 5G The Lava Blaze AMOLED 2, as evident from its name, will pack an AMOLED display. It will be a 6.67" panel with a FullHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone features two cameras on the rear, with the primary camera having a 50MP Sony sensor. Lava said the Blaze AMOLED 2 follows the "Linea" design philosophy, inspired by the Latin word "Linear". It reflects the Indian handset maker's commitment to "precision, elegance and innovation in smartphone design." Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 Additionally, Lava revealed that the Blaze AMOLED 2 will be 7.55mm thick, weigh 174 g, and have an IP64 rating. Moreover, the smartphone will have a launch price of less than INR15,000 ($170/€145).

Lava has announced it will launch two new Blaze series smartphones this month, named Lava Blaze Dragon and Lava Blaze AMOLED 2. As evident from its name, the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 will pack an AMOLED display. The press note we received from Lava doesn't specify the screen's diagonal or resolution, but describes the display as a "fast-refresh AMOLED display," so you can be certain that it will have a refresh rate of at least 90Hz. Lava Blaze Curve Lava says the Blaze AMOLED 2 is its "bold answer to Gen Z's growing expectations." The smartphone will have a sleek design, offer smooth performance, and run "clean stock Android." Additionally, the Indian brand said that the Blaze AMOLED 2 is a "benchmark for what mid-range smartphones should be." The Lava Blaze Dragon, on the other hand, is a "performance-first smartphone" which is "built for those who move fast, multitask hard, and game without limits." Lava said that the Blaze Dragon will come with a "responsive processor," high-speed storage, clean Android, dependable battery life, and a "confident build" to deliver "speed, stability, and stamina in every moment" to users.
