Boots' Viral Glossy Lip Balms Are Back With New Shades
One beauty essential I will never leave the house without? Lip balm - it's the only beauty product I keep to hand at all times. And I'm not the only one. Lip balms are quite the talking point on TikTok, having wracked up 37.5K videos and counting, with content creators, dermatologists and beauty experts all weighing in on their personal favourites. A quick scroll reveals that glossy, balmy lip treatments are a growing status flex that many of us willingly splash cash on - look to the Augustinus Bader x Sofia Coppola balm collaboration for proof. But Boots is here to remind us that a hard-working, lip-perfecting buy needn't cost you a small fortune. Enter the Boots Glossy Lip Balm. At just £3 a pop (yes, really), it comes in at a fraction of the cost of its high-end competitors, but a quick swipe of its nourishing goodness will make you wonder why you ever needed a designer equivalent. In fact, they are so good that when they first launched last year, one tube sold every 30 seconds. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, using the Boots Glossy Lip Balm in Cherry A hit on TikTok, the lip balms have amassed countless rave reviews. @hanstlucesays, 'It's really nice, it's not overly glossy, but it just makes my lips look moisturised and put together. That is what I wanted from lip balm. Sometimes they're just too glossy, they move around, but Boots? We are onto a winner here.' Similarly, @gabbyhowescomments, 'The gloss that these give is incredible. They're not sticky either, they're really nice and hydrating on the lips. My lips genuinely feel so smooth, honestly, like butter after using these and they stay hydrated for so long.' 1. Boots Glossy Lip Balms These affordable lip balms are designed to moisturise dry lips with long-lasting hydration, all while lending a subtle tint and leaving lips delicately scented. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'When it comes to lip balm there are a few things I look out for. Uber nourishment that functions much like a salve (obviously), comfortable wear, and a layerable formula so that it sits comfortably sans build-up. I also need it to blend well with other lip products, like liners and tints. Thankfully, this internet-favourite checks every box.' Pros Affordable price point Long-lasting hydration Cons Tube is so packed with product it can be hard to squeeze out Boots has taken note of the demand and recently responded accordingly with three all new delicious shades, Vanilla, Peach and Raspberry, each promising to be as delightfully glazing as the next. The creamy texture instantly feels like a treat for chapped lips and the glossy finish is more of a wearable sheen than a high-shine, making it perfect for all occasions. Plus, while scented and tinted, everything has been done with a delicate hand, which ensures you'll keep reaching for a tube of this time and time over.'
