Mumbai's rap sovereign DIVINE unleashes a new single
Mumbai's rap sovereign, DIVINE, has unleashed Aag , a blistering new single and cinematic opus releasing today via Gully Gang Records in partnership with a popular music brand. This anthem represents a bold new chapter in the multi-platinum rapper's illustrious discography, heralding the arrival of a long-awaited announcement that fans have eagerly anticipated. Written by DIVINE and co-composed by DIVINE and Abhijay Sharma, along with additional production by Karan Kanchan, the track masterfully blends industrial textures with soaring synth accents, while orchestral swells add a surprising cinematic depth to the soundscape. From the opening bars to the final refrain, DIVINE's verses blaze trails of aura and ferocity, reaffirming his status as the king of Indian hip-hop. His signature gravelly timbre pierces through subterranean basslines and trap-infused grooves, delivering razor-sharp lyricism and braggadocious swagger that reverberate like the heartbeat of Mumbai. The timing of this ground-breaking single is particularly poignant, as it arrives nearly six months after his previous release, a period during which DIVINE immersed himself in introspection and artistic exploration. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Libas Purple Days Sale Libas Undo This hiatus allowed him to refine his craft, embrace new sounds, and delve deeper into the powerful themes of resilience and transformation. Aag embodies the culmination of these experiences—a testament to DIVINE's evolution and a bold re-entry into the spotlight that his fans have eagerly awaited. In the song, DIVINE transcends music to craft a bold visual narrative that embodies Mumbai's fierce and unyielding spirit. Filmed in just one day, the accompanying music video, directed by ad filmmaker John Fredrick Peter Mayne and co-directed by Joel D'Souza (JD), intertwines authentic moments with surreal, dreamlike imagery. Central to the storyline is the theme of metamorphosis, as a central female protagonist navigates through scenes—calm by day, she ignites into a nocturnal blaze as DIVINE's verses swell, symbolizing the city's capacity for both resilience and reinvention. Shot against a surreal reimagining of Mumbai's skyline, molten rivers of light fracture concrete and AI-generated floating lava sharks which serve as powerful metaphors for survival. In seeking a connection to authenticity, the rapper draws inspiration from the Borivali tribal community who coexist with leopards, reflecting a quiet strength often overlooked. Aag encapsulates the essence of Mumbai: fierce, chaotic and perpetually ignited.

Jun 25, 2025 08:55 PM IST While smoking and tobacco use remain the leading causes of lung cancer, recent studies have linked rising air pollution and prolonged exposure to environmental pollutants as significant contributors to the increasing risk of the disease. In an interview with HT lifestyle, Dr Indoo Ammbulkar, director of medical oncology, HCG Cancer Centre, Borivali said, 'Air pollution alone causes up to 29% of all lung cancer deaths. Are all liver tumours cancerous? Doctor explains basic differences, symptoms to watch out for
The liver plays a vital role in several key bodily functions, including metabolism, detoxification, and digestion. Due to its rich blood supply and complex structure, it is also susceptible to abnormal growths, some of which may be benign while others can be malignant. Also read | Doctors warn: Liver cancer could hit you in your 20s. Here's what to watch out for in your diet In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr. Aditya Punamiya, Consultant Surgical Oncology, HCG Cancer Centre, Borivali said, 'A mistaken belief among patients is that cancer of the liver is the equivalent of any liver tumor. In fact, not all tumors are malignant, and the knowledge of this fact is very crucial for accurate diagnosis and treatment.' The doctor highlighted, 'A liver tumor is any unusual density that appears within the liver. They may be benign (non-malignant) or malignant (cancerous). In the majority of instances, benign tumors such as hemangiomas, focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH), and hepatic cysts do not need treatment unless they become large or begin to produce symptoms.' Dr. Aditya Punamiya added that although the most frequent form is hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), cancer of the liver refers to malignant tumors in particular. The liver can also get secondary cancers, which are cancers that occur in one area of the body and move to the liver. Liver tumors tend to progress quietly during their initial stages, particularly benign tumors. The signs eventually become very common and encompass the following: Because symptoms of liver disease are not distinctive, they could be overlooked without proper screening. 'Benign tumors can be detected early and thereby internal hemorrhage and other complications can be avoided. Early detection significantly enhances the possibility of curative treatment for malignant tumors, including liver transplantation, surgery, or targeted therapy. Prevention of liver cancer is possible with hepatitis B vaccination, lifestyle changes, regular screening, and early treatment of liver disease,' the doctor emphasised.
