LSU football quarterback target earns Elite 11 invite LSU football's top quarterback target, Bowe Bentley, was invited to the Elite 11 finals. The field was rolled out earlier this week, with the Texas product making the cut. Bentley remains uncommitted, but his recruitment is down to LSU and Oklahoma. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Bentley is the No. 7 ranked QB in the class and the No. 76 overall prospect. Bentley took off in the last year after 2024 was his first time in the starting role for his high school squad. LSU's 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 2 in the nation, but the Tigers want to add a QB. Bentley is the most likely option with most elite quarterbacks already off the board. However, the On3 Prediction Machine tabs Oklahoma as the favorite to land Bentley's services. LSU and Oklahoma are the only two official visits Bentley has on the calendar this summer. LSU missed on its top QB target last year with Bryce Underwood flipping to Michigan. LSU and staff look to avoid that fate this cycle. What is the Elite 11? The Elite 11 describes itself as, "The nation's premier quarterback camp series and competition." Quarterbacks from around the country compete at regional camps throughout the year. The top talents are invited to the Elite 11 Finals, a three-day event hosted annually every summer. Twenty QBs earn a finals invitation. At the end of the week, the top 11 passers are named the "Elite 11." The event also crowns an Elite 11 MVP. The last LSU QB to participate in the finals was Colin Hurley in 2023. Hurley's week was strong enough to be named an Elite 11 finalist.
