Bajrangi Bhaijaan's Harshali Malhotra to make South film debut with Akhanda 2
Actor Harshali Malhotra of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' fame, who won hearts across the nation as the silent and lovable Munni, is all set to return to the silver screen. She will be seen in a new role in the much-awaited Telugu sequel 'Akhanda 2'. The film, starring veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, will mark Harshali's debut in South Indian shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, announcing her comeback and introducing her character, Janani, to the world. Along with a character poster, she wrote, "Munni was not just a character; she was a feeling, a memory, a heartbeat - something that stayed with you, and with me. After all these years, I've held on to your love - patiently, silently, and with a heart full of gratitude. While you were remembering Munni, I was preparing - learning, growing, and becoming. So that one day, when I return, I return not just as that little girl, but as someone ready to feel everything again on screen, with you (sic)." She introduced her new role with deep emotion, saying, "Meet JANANI - a new story, a new emotion, a new chapter of me. She laughs, she dreams, she speaks from the heart, and I've poured my soul into every scene. On his X, Arya shared the title teaser and wrote, "Here's the Title Teaser and First Look posters of #Ananthankaadu. Hope you all like it." The poem recited in Tamil, when translated loosely, reads: "I swallowed all light to show up as a lightning in the sky! I was born in dry lands to make a revolution bloom. I was showered on blood-stained earth to make it smile. I turned into roots and then trees to grow and stand tall. I don't fall, fearing fate or deceit. The teaser of Akhanda 2 reveals a powerful new avatar of Balakrishna, retaining the spiritual essence and stylised action that defined the first film. Promising an action saga like never before, the teaser showcases Nandamuri Balakrishna taking on a group of thugs amidst majestic snow-capped peaks reminiscent of Mount Kailash. Wielding a trishul, he single-handedly lifts and tosses gunmen into the air, delivering high-octane action with his commanding presence.
