DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – After devastating storms tore through the Midwest last week, local disaster relief non-profit, God's Pit Crew, is sending teams to St. Louis, Missouri. An EF3 tornado hit, killing at least five people in the area and causing over a million dollars in damage. Winds maxed out at about 152 mph. Five thousand homes were affected. Recovery efforts are still going on, with a curfew in place to ensure everyone's safety. Through the end of the month, at least 50 members of God's Pit Crew will be assisting those in need each day, with any type of cleanup or support.
