Owners of Sunset Speedway gear up for final race before hanging up their helmets

After more than a decade at the wheel and major upgrades to the facility, Brian and Sandra Todish have announced that this racing season will be their last at the historic Innisfil track. 'After much reflection and consideration, we are announcing that this will be our final season at Sunset Speedway. It has been an incredible journey, filled with thrilling races, unforgettable moments, and a sense of camaraderie that we will cherish forever,' they shared in a statement on the track's website. (CTV NEWS / Steve Mansbridge) Sunset Speedway is a NASCAR semi-banked short track motor racing oval located at 6918 Yonge Street in Innisfil. Brian and Sandra purchased the speedway back in May 2009. The duo says they are grateful for the unwavering support and enthusiasm they have received over the years. 'As we prepare for our last lap, we hope you'll join us in making this season one to remember.' The future of the Yonge Street raceway remains unclear, but fans will get one final lap as a special three-night send off event is scheduled in September. To take part in the final race, click here.
