Rebel Wilson tries to follow 'healthy habits'
Rebel Wilson's "healthy habits" are important for her mental health. The 45-year-old actress embarked on a weight-loss challenge around Easter, and Rebel has now offered some health advice to her social media followers. The 'Bridesmaids' star said on Instagram: "Ok, so you delete some things from your life that are unhealthy and pick up some healthy habits. "So not just focusing on but trying multiple healthy habits, which will be a struggle. "I might have to write myself a little checklist on a post it note and make sure I'm trying to do each thing each day. "But I tell you what, if you can get into a really good groove with all these healthy habits, it can be really great for your physical and mental health and that's really important." Rebel subsequently encouraged her followers to update her on their progress. She added: "I just want you guys to be the healthiest versions of you that you can be. "Congrats to everyone that's been on the challenge. Let's go hard week six. Let's do it." In 2023, Rebel claimed that her 'Pitch Perfect' contract prevented her from losing weight. The actress played Fat Amy in the hit film franchise between 2012 and 2017, and Rebel revealed that her contract stopped her from shedding weight. During an appearance on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, Rebel explained: "I couldn't lose a massive amount of weight, because I was in the contracts for that movie. "I think it's not more than ten pounds [you can lose] and not gain more than ten pounds. You have to kind of stay at the weight that's in your contract." Rebel embarked on a so-called year of health in 2020, as she made a determined effort to lose weight. However, the Hollywood star had been thinking about adopting a healthier lifestyle for years. Rebel - who ultimately managed to lose 60 pounds through her health journey - said: "I was stereotyped in playing that fat, funny friend. I love doing those roles, I love those characters, but then I did want to do more things. But then I felt like being the bigger girl, you're just more pigeonholed."

Amanda Seyfried has heart set on lead role in All Fours TV series
Amanda Seyfried is "campaigning" for the lead role in the TV series 'All Fours'. The 39-year-old actress explained that she is desperate to lead the cast of the Starz adaptation of Miranda July's provocative novel – which tells the story of a 45-year-old woman who goes through a sexual awakening after having an affair during a road trip. Amanda told Gold Derby: "I am campaigning to be the lead. I will be the right age by the time it gets made. It's very complicated and complex and nuanced. It's a sexual awakening of someone. "I love books by women about hard things." Meanwhile, Seyfried stars as Nina in the upcoming psychological thriller movie 'The Housemaid' and explained that she was left "giddy" by the unique demands of the role. She said: "It still makes me giddy anytime someone mentions it. I get to play a character I never got to play and that's a giant win. I play someone playing someone deranged." The 'Mamma Mia!' star relished getting to work with director Paul Feig on the picture and found it very "liberating" collaborating with the 'Bridesmaids' helmer. Amanda said: "He brings out the darkest, funniest s***. It always blows my mind. I felt very free to just go nuts and that was very liberating." Seyfried features alongside Sydney Sweeney in the flick, which will be released in December, and thinks that the movie will be a success. She said: "I think that the Sydney and me team, works. It was really fun. I usually think no one is going to see anything I do. I have low expectations but I actually think this movie is going to get seen." 'The Housemaid' is based on Freida McFadden's 2022 novel of the same name and Amanda is certain that the movie will fulfil the expectations of those who have read the book. She said: "The only reason to do it is if the script makes these characters come alive even more and they did an incredible job with the script." Amanda previously revealed that she cherishes her "alone time", which she spends doing a lot of crocheting. The Hollywood actress told People: "I sit and I crochet, or I go to the gym in the barn, or I go out to coffee with a fellow parent or a friend upstate. "I get a lot of alone time on a train when I go to the city. If I have to go to the city, I take the train. And I get like an hour and 40 minutes of alone time each way. And I'm always crocheting. Knitting, crocheting, that's my lifestyle."

Rebel Wilson says she was 'seen differently' by Hollywood as soon as she lost weight
Rebel Wilson was "seen differently" by Hollywood as soon as she lost weight. The 45-year-old actress was initially known for her comedic roles such as Fat Amy in 'Pitch Perfect' and Brynn in 'Bridesmaids' but once she shed the pounds, she was able to take a more dramatic approach to her film career. Speaking on SirusXM, she said: "When I lost a lot of weight in 2020, I lost like 70 or 80 pounds, from that point, I started getting offered more serious roles. I did this British indie movie that was really serious about traumatic brain injury and now I'm playing Lady Capulet [in 'Juliet and Romeo'] so I kind of un-typecast myself by losing weight and I loved being the bigger, funny girl. "I loved playing Fat Amy in the 'Pitch Perfect' movies, it was so cool. That still is me in so many respects but I guess, once I did lose weight, people started to see me a bit differently." The 'Senior Year' star recalled that when she initially stared out in her career, she did want to be more of a "serious actress" but was able to get her foot in the door via her comedic abilities but has now been able to "go back to [her] roots" with her current projects. She explained: "Weirdly, when I very first started acting in Australia, I wanted to be a serious actress. I wanted to be like Dame Judi Dench. I wanted to be really serious, it's just I had something that people liked to laugh at. And then Nicole Kidman gave me this scholarship to come to America and specialise in comedy, so that's what I did. And when I came to Hollywood, I was just like the full comedy girl but now it's kind of like almost going back to my roots as an actress and doing some serious stuff as well."

Rebel Wilson on playing a mom, losing 'Elvis' role: video
She's in her mom era. Rebel Wilson plays Juliet's mother in the new musical drama flick 'Juliet & Romeo' (hitting theaters Friday, May 9). 'Seeing me in these Hollywood glossy comedies, you wouldn't expect me to do a turn as Lady Capulet. But I was a new mother when I got offered this role, and Lady Capulet's like an iconic Shakespearean mother – normally played quite villainously, although I tried to give it a little bit more empathy,' Wilson, 45, exclusively told The Post. Advertisement The movie musical is a re-imagining of the famous Shakespeare story, starring Wilson as Lady Capulet, 'The White Lotus' star Jason Isaacs as Lord Montague, Clara Rugaard as Juliet, and Jamie Ward as Romeo. Sir Derek Jacobi plays The Friar. The story includes a more uplifting ending. 7 Rebel Wilson in 'Juliet & Romeo.' 7 The poster for 'Juliet & Romeo.' Wilson, who is also known for playing the character 'Fat Amy' in the 'Pitch Perfect' movies, made headlines for undergoing a weight loss journey in 2020. 'Sometimes as an actor you just want to do something a little bit different,' Wilson explained. She explained that the Oscar-nominated 2022 movie starring Austin Butler, 'flew me in and did all the aging prosthetics on my face. And then, they said I still looked too young to play Elvis's mother at the time.' Wilson said, 'And so, it was just really cool to play Juliet's mother in this [movie], completely against type.' 7 Rebel Wilson in her video interview with the New York Post. She also played a single woman in 2019's 'Isn't It Romantic,' co-starring Liam Hemsworth and Priyanka Chopra. 'When I lost weight in 2020, that weirdly made me more versatile as an actress,' Wilson told The Post. 'Even though I had the same skills….I think people see you differently and can imagine you more easily in different roles.' She's 'not sure' that she would have taken the 'Juliet & Romeo' role if she 'wasn't a mother.' 7 Rebel Wilson and Jason Isaacs in 'Juliet & Romeo.' 7 Rebel Wilson at The View in New York City on May 5, 2025. By being an actor, being a performer, as part of your job, you're a bit self-absorbed. You just have to go the opposite once you have a child,' the Australian actress told the Post. 'I can't just leave the house. I've got to be always thinking about my daughter and what's good for her. And I think that's changed me in a really positive way.' 'I don't think I've ever felt that kind of love – just this love where you just do anything for it,' she gushed. 'I'm very family-focused now, and before I was 100% work, pretty much.' She praised her wife, Ramona, as also being an 'amazing mother.' 'It's hard work, but it's great.'

Paul Feig has ideas for third Simple Favor
Paul Feig "definitely" has an idea for another 'A Simple Favor' movie. The 62-year-old filmmaker has recently released the second movie in the franchise, 'Another Simple Favor' and admitted he "would love" to bring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively back for a third time as mommy vlogger Stephanie and conwoman Emily respectively. He told People magazine: 'I definitely know where I want it to go. 'We'll see if everybody wants to do a third one. It was too much fun — I would love to get back together with this group and these characters and send them on an even weirder, international adventure, if possible.' The 2018 movie was set in Connecticut and the sequel is based on the island of Capri, and Paul has plans to take the cast even further afield. He said: "I think we need to take them out into the world even more.' Earlier this month, the filmmaker admitted it was an unusual step for him to make 'Another Simple Favor' because he generally doesn't "do" sequels. Noting he had resisted calls for a second 'Bridesmaids' movie, he told Deadline: "I don't do sequels. Sequels are hard … Audiences, I think, got burned by a lot of sequels. And so the big question for an audience is always, 'Why do I need to see this?' And so you've really got to be able to answer that question. "This one just felt like, 'Oh, there is a way into this.' Everybody was like, 'How are you going to get her out of prison?' I'm like, 'Come on – Marvel brings people back from the dead. We can get somebody out of prison!" Yet despite his comments, Paul has also admitted he is open to a 'Spy' sequel. He told HeyUGuys: "I mean, if there was ever going to be another movie that'll have a sequel, it'll probably be 'Spy'. "So, you know, never say never." 'Another Simple Favor' cast member Henry Golding reminded Paul that the "conscientious is that 'Spy' has to be remade', to which he replied: "I think it must - it seems to be, yeah, exactly." After interviewer Freda Cooper said that a sequel can only be made on "one condition" - that Jason Statham will reprise his role as agent Rick Ford - Paul said: "There's no 'Spy' without Jason Statham, and I love him to death. "He's the greatest."
