Brie Bella Reveals The ‘Roadblock' In The Way Of Her WWE Return
Brie Bella says there might be something — or someone, rather — getting in the way of her possible return to WWE. Nikki Bella made her WWE in-ring return earlier this year, and she's made subsequent appearances at WWE Evolution and on RAW. When the Bellas do press for their respective projects, one or both are usually asked when Brie will be coming back. Brie Bella has addressed this on a few occasions, claiming that she was just waiting for the phone call from WWE. However, Brie now shared that this particular comment was designed to keep interviews moving. During a new solo-hosting episode of the Nikki & Brie show, Brie was talking about the various 'roadblocks' in her life. 'There's been what I can consider a roadblock, but it's also a good sign. And that's where I make a joke because I've been on red carpets or in interviews. There's one question that I constantly get asked. And it is, 'When will we see you back in the ring?' As if I have that power. And I always make a joke because when I'm in interviews. I don't want to ever answer something serious because usually it's a quick question and they need a quick answer. So I have constantly made the joke, 'Oh, waiting on the call.' Which in some ways, can be true. And in some ways, I am just saying something cheeky and sweet so I can get on to the next question. Brie Bella says her husband in AEW is her roadblock with WWE After mentioning why she answers this way, Brie said she believes the roadblock to her in-ring return is the fact that her husband, Bryan Danielson, is employed by AEW. Brie noted that people are entitled to be uncomfortable with the situation, but she sees it as a potential sign. 'But what I wanted to bring up, because I feel like, ok, it's something that's important in these solo episodes, is to open up to all of you [about] what I'm going through so I can help some of you. But when I look at that, I know my roadblock is the fact that my husband is with the rival company,' Brie Bella said. 'For some people, it makes them uncomfortable at WWE, thinking I would be there while my husband is with AEW. 'And you know what? That's ok,' she continued. 'I've looked at that roadblock as people have the right to feel. If people feel uncomfortable, they're uncomfortable, and that's ok. They have that right. Does it bum me out sometimes when I wish their feelings were different? Absolutely. But, it doesn't make me angry and it doesn't make me bitter. It makes me [realize] that that is a sign that I am supposed to be staying in my 'soft girl era.' The Bella Twins have been true trailblazers of the Women's Revolution. Nikki and Brie Bella are an important of the movement that led to the current generation getting significant opportunities in WWE and reaching unprecedented heights. The WWE Universe recently saw the return of Nikki Bella on Monday Night RAW. Following the events that went down, there is a possibility that Brie Bella might join her soon, and the duo might go after the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Nikki Bella was confronted by a top champion upon her return to WWE RAW It was announced at the Money in the Bank 2025 PLE that Nikki Bella would be making her return on the following edition of WWE RAW. The Fearless One's comeback was met with a loud pop from her hometown fans in Phoenix, Arizona, who were thrilled to see her on the red brand. She briefly spoke about the upcoming WWE Evolution 2 PLE, the same event she main evented in 2018, and applauded many top names in the current women's division. Upon hearing that, the current one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Liv Morgan, confronted her. She did not take too kindly to the fact that Bella did not mention her name. The duo had an intense and personal exchange of words, and the ending saw Morgan planting Bella with an Oblivion to the mat. With Nikki Bella making her return and mentioning WWE Evolution, it can be expected that she will compete at the event. However, her altercation with Liv Morgan might have hinted that she will not be alone. The next few weeks could see Nikki outnumbered by Morgan and her partner, Raquel Rodriguez. This could lead to the return of her sister, Brie Bella, to even the odds. With the Bella Twins reunited, they could challenge Morgan and Rodriguez for the Women's tag team titles, possibly at Evolution 2. In the past, the Bella Twins have spoken about a possible run as the Tag Team Champions. With one Bella back and having an interaction with one-half of the current champion, this is looking to be the direction for the Women's tag team division moving forward. Meanwhile, Brie Bella—whose real name is Brianna Monique Danielson—spoke out about Nikki Bella's comeback at the Queen of the Ring Los Angeles premiere in March and said that she often thinks about a WWE return. "Oh yes, always. But you know, what the women are doing today in both AEW [All Elite Wrestling] and WWE gets me wanting to get out there. It's incredible to be a fan of pro wrestling today. I mean, I might be biased, but I feel like they would kill it," Brie Bella said, adding that her choices for new cast members would be "Bianca Belair, Maxxine [Dupri] and Chelsea Green." "We all are bringing something different to the table right now," she said. We got our team here. You all need to make a call live. They'll step away. They can take it," Nikki Bella said. "I really do think there's something there."
