Brightside Cafe & Deli reopens after crash causes two-week closure
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Just 15 days after a car came through the front of their business, the Brightside Cafe & Deli re-opened Tuesday to serve customers. On the morning of April 28, a driver fell asleep at the wheel and went through the front of Brightside. There were no injuries in the crash, but the cafe had to close down for repairs. Now, the restaurant is happy to welcome diners back. Two weeks was a long time to be down. Thank God everything is getting fixed up, and we're getting back. Everything's getting put back together, and just to be up and running is awesome,' said Liz Lopez, manager at Brightside Cafe & Deli. Diocese of Sioux City to hold Mass in honor of new pontiff
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Diocese of Sioux City will hold a Mass on Monday in honor of the newly-elected Pope Leo XIV. Brightside Cafe & Deli says they'll soon serve food again The service will be held beginning at noon on Monday, May 12, at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in downtown Sioux City. Bishop John Keehner will officiate the service, which will be held in English. All are welcome to attend. The Diocese notes, all parishes have been asked to celebrate a Mass for the new pope.
