Kilmarnock set to kick season off with trip to the Highlands as Premier Sports Cup fixtures announced
The Premier Sports Cup group stage fixtures have been released The Stuart Kettlewell era at Kilmarnock will get underway with a trip to the Highlands as they kick-off their Premier Sports Cup group stage fixtures away to Brora Rangers. The near-500 mile round trip gets their Group H campaign up and running on July 12 before the new boss takes on Livingston four days later in his first home game. That game, which is a 7.45pm kick-off, will be televised live on Premier Sports. It's the only fixture across the entire group stage between two top flight teams. Killie's next fixture is away to League One side Kelty Hearts on Tuesday, July 22 before concluding the group stage by welcoming East Fife to East Ayrshire on July 26. The group winners, along with the three best runners-up across the eight groups, will progress to the knockout stages. They'll be joined there by Scotland's five European representatives, who have all received a bye. GROUP H FIXTURES July 12: Brora Rangers v Kilmarnock, East Fife v Livingston (3pm). July 15: Brora Rangers v Kelty Hearts (7.45pm). July 16: Kilmarnock v Livingston (7.45pm). July 19: Kelty Hearts v East Fife, Livingston v Brora Rangers (3pm). July 22: East Fife v Brora Rangers, Kelty Hearts v Kilmarnock (7.45pm). July 26: Kilmarnock v East Fife, Livingston v Kelty Hearts (3pm).

R Davidson (Banchory) Highland League Cup draw revealed
Holders Brora Rangers will start their defence of the R Davidson (Banchory) Highland League Cup against Strathspey Thistle in the preliminary round. The draw for the prelim round and first round took place on Friday at the headquarters of the competition sponsors in Banchory. The Cattachs, who have won the League Cup in the past two seasons, will face the Grantown Jags at Dudgeon Park on Saturday September 13. In the other preliminary round tie Forres Mechanics will take on Wick Academy at Mosset Park. The first round ties will be played on Saturday November 8 with Inverurie Locos v Buckie Thistle and Brechin City v Clachnacuddin among the standout fixtures. Trevor Mutch, the managing director of R Davidson (Banchory), said: 'We're delighted to be associated with the Highland League Cup. We really enjoyed our first season sponsoring the competition. 'We saw a lot of different grounds and we saw some really good games so we're looking forward to the new season. 'There's some really good first round ties. Inverurie against Buckie is one that jumps out, while there's the potential for Wick v Brora which I'm sure would be a friendly affair! 'This year the final was between two of the form teams in the latter part of the season (Brora and Fraserburgh) and it was really well-attended. 'Hopefully the 2025-26 tournament throws up something similar.' Who will Livingston face in League Cup?
Recently-promoted Livingston have been drawn alongside fellow Premiership side Kilmarnock, Kelty Hearts, East Fife and Brora Rangers in Group H of the 2025-26 Premier Sports opening group fixtures will take place on 12-13 July, with further matchdays on 15-16 July, 19-20 July, 22-23 July and 26-27 eight group winners and three best runners-up will join Scotland's five European entrants - Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibernian and Dundee United - in the last 16 on the weekend of 16-17 who will return to the top flight next season after beating Ross County in the Premiership play-off final, won the League Cup in 2004 and finished as runners-up four years ago.
