UAE: From Bugatti Veyron to Rolls-Royce, why Dubai Police uses world's fastest, most luxurious supercars
Dubai Police use supercars like Bugatti Veyron and Rolls-Royce Cullinan to enhance public safety and showcase city's luxury./ File (AP) In most parts of the world, police cars are designed for utility, not spectacle. In Dubai, however, they are a statement. Since 2013, the Dubai Police force has rewritten the playbook on law enforcement visibility by curating a vehicle fleet that looks more like an elite car show than a motor pool. With Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Rolls-Royces, and even a flying hoverbike, the Dubai Police fleet represents a unique blend of security, branding, and futuristic thinking. The Vision Behind the Vehicles The transformation began in April 2013 with the induction of a Lamborghini Aventador into the police force. This was not simply about performance,it was about perception. The goal was clear: to elevate the image of Dubai as a global city of innovation, prosperity, and forward-thinking governance. Today, that vision is fully realized through a vehicle collection that symbolizes prestige, discipline, and a new form of civic engagement. Dubai's roads are filled with high-performance vehicles owned by residents and tourists alike. To maintain authority and presence in such an environment, law enforcement vehicles had to match the city's personality. These cars are strategically deployed in high-profile locations such as Downtown Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Mall, the Palm Jumeirah, and international expos, where they serve more as ambassadors than enforcers. Andrew Tate license suspended after speeding at 196km/h in Romanian village
Andrew Tate, the polarizing online figure known for flaunting luxury cars and controversial views, was caught speeding at 196km/h in a Romanian village where the limit is just 50km/h, authorities confirmed. The incident took place in Bujoreni, a rural area roughly 184km from Bucharest. Romanian police reported the 38-year-old British-American was fined USD 420 and had his driver's license suspended for 120 days due to the gravity of the offense. 'Excessive speed remains one of the leading causes of road deaths in Romania,' police said in a statement. Tate, who is currently facing charges of rape and human trafficking in Romania alongside his brother Tristan, has a history of speeding violations. In 2021, he was stopped for allegedly driving 138km/h near Bucharest, and a year earlier he received a speeding ticket in Germany. Several of his high-end vehicles, including Bugattis and Lamborghinis, were seized in 2023 as part of ongoing investigations. Both brothers deny all allegations and are currently living in Romania under judicial supervision. They are also facing legal action in the UK and a civil suit in the US brought by four women who accuse them of coercion into sex work. Tate has previously boasted about leaving the UK in favor of Romania, citing accessible corruption as a key appeal. 'If corruption exists, which it does, let us all play,' he once said, as quoted by a fan site.

Rare Holden Outshines Exotics In A Sultan's Secret Car Collection
Read the full story on Backfire News It's really something when photos of a secret car collection owned by a Sultan get people worked up because of a rare Holden in the midst of Bugattis, Ferraris, Lotuses, and other exotics. While most of the rest of the world was confused by the reaction from Australians and a smattering of others, once you know a little bit about the Holden Commodore which looks rather plain you too will get all the fuss made over maroon sedan is in fact a 1990 HSV SS Group A Commodore is one of only 302 in existence. It's an homologation special that was canceled partway through the planned 500 unit build, thanks to rule changes in Group A racing in Bathurst. Using a VN-series Commodore Berlina, HSV tweaked a 4.9-liter V8 and mated it with a six-speed manual from the C4 Corvette, making it the first Holden to use a six-speed. To sharpen handling, HSV lowered he Commodore, added Bilstein shocks, bolted in a limited-slip diff, upgraded the brakes, and wrapped the 17-inch alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagles. All that combined to make the VN SS Group A Commodore the fastest production car from Australia in the early 90s. It was a red hot ride everyone wanted but few could have. Today, they can fetch several hundred thousand at auction. Plus, for Australians the Holden is a type of hero car, a symbol of national pride created back when the island nation actually made cars. Also kept in the Sultan of Brunei's impressive collection as show in photos leaked onto the internet are crowd favorites like Ferrari Testarossas and Lamborghini Countaches. He also owns a number of oddities like first-gen Toyota RAV4s and a Lotus Omega. The royal family of Brunei, a miniscule country located in Southeast Asia, are often cited as the wealthiest of royalty in the world today. Thanks to that financial might, the sultan has amassed a car collection estimated to be worth $5 billion. Considering he has about 7,000 vehicles in storage, that's a believable yet still staggering sum. Image via brunei_cars_2001/Instagram
