'Superman' Star David Corenswet Was Asked Who His First Hero Was, And His Answer Was Just So Wholesome
As Superman finally hits British cinemas, David Corenswet joined us to discuss taking flight as the Man of Steel, and things got more emotional than expected. Speaking to BuzzFeed UK, David was asked who his first hero was, and he gave a beautiful answer: "It would probably be my mom and dad." While superheroes are often known for their infallible resilience and knowledge, it was actually his parents' honesty that David appreciated the most. "I think a lot of kids think about their parents as knowing everything – they have all the answers," he said, "It was actually kind of the opposite; they conveyed to me and my sister, when we were young, that adults are fallible and imperfect and don't have all the answers." David went on to open up about his father's illness, saying, "My dad was sick quite a lot when we were growing up, so there was talk about illness and the possibility of death." But it wasn't just what they talked about, it was how they talked about it: "The fact that that was talked about in our house with love and compassion and a certain appreciation for the maturity that even young kids can have about those kinds of things, that felt like it sort of prevented me from ever having a moment where I was completely disillusioned when I grew up," David shared. He reflected on what that honesty really meant, saying, "And it made me trust and appreciate my parents even more because they didn't pretend to be perfect or to have all the answers, but they were still going to do their best." David closed his answer by tying it all back to Superman in the most poetic way: "I think that is what's cool about the great superheroes – especially Superman – it's not that he's perfect and can do everything and is invincible. It's that he's willing to take responsibility for what he can do and to try to do it as best he can and to hopefully inspire that in other people." You can watch the full interview below, and you can catch David as Superman in cinemas now!

Stephen Schwartz may add Wicked movie's 'Popular' ending to Broadway
Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz is considering adding the film version's new extended ending of 'Popular' to the Broadway stage show. The updated version, sung by Ariana Grande as Glinda in the 2024 Wicked movie, features new key changes and showcases more of Grande's soprano range. Schwartz revealed in a recent interview with BuzzFeed UK that although this ending was written specifically for the film, he now feels it could enhance the stage version. 'If I had thought of this ending then, I would have done it,' Schwartz said, noting the potential of integrating the movie's version into the long-running Broadway production. Grande, who stars alongside Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba), originally hesitated about the dramatic vocal shift but eventually embraced the idea. In an interview with The Emsolation Podcast, Grande shared that the final choreography and musical arrangement were a spontaneous decision made just days before shooting. Director Jon M. Chu, cinematographer Alice Brooks, and choreographer Chris Scott were inspired by the architecture of Shiz University's hallway, prompting the team to adapt the number's staging and vocals on the spot. The film adaptation of Wicked was released in two parts, with Part One debuting November 22, 2024, and Part Two set for November 21, 2025. Alongside Grande and Erivo, the cast includes Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, and Ethan Slater. If approved, the 'Popular' film ending could be the first musical number from Wicked's cinematic debut to make its way back into the original Broadway production.

Alan Cumming may have teased major Avengers: Doomsday twist involving Pedro Pascal
Alan Cumming may have just dropped a major hint about the plot of Avengers: Doomsday, possibly confirming a fan-favorite theory about a multiversal clash between Marvel's biggest teams. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed UK, the actor—reprising his iconic role as Nightcrawler from 2003's X2: X-Men United—teased a potential fight scene involving Pedro Pascal's Mister Fantastic. While reflecting on his return to superhero cinema after more than two decades, Cumming joked, 'I was learning stunts yesterday for some fight scene and I'm thinking, 'I'm 60 years old… And now I'm back doing it. That, to me, is hilarious.'' He continued, 'I'm like, 'Who am I fighting with?' And they said, 'You're hitting Pedro Pascal against the head,' or something." Though his comment was delivered in a lighthearted tone, fans are speculating that it confirms a pivotal Avengers: Doomsday twist—pitting the Fox X-Men universe against the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and possibly more Marvel characters from different timelines. Cumming's return as Nightcrawler adds to growing rumors that Avengers: Doomsday will explore a multiverse conflict before uniting its heroes to face a common enemy—likely Robert Downey Jr.'s rumored return as Doctor Doom. While Marvel Studios has not confirmed plot specifics, Cumming's casual comment adds weight to theories about inter-franchise battles. Still, fans should take the statement with a grain of salt until official details emerge. Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.

The Director Of 'The Office US' Opened Up About The One Huge Difference From The Original British Sitcom
We can all agree that The Office US is a heavyweight in the sitcom landscape. Well, Paul Feig, who directed many of the US episodes, has opened up about one of the major differences from the original. Speaking to BuzzFeed UK, Paul shared that he and the team transformed the protagonist for American audiences, due to differences in humour across the pond. BuzzFeed UK In the British version, Ricky Gervais plays Wernham Hogg manager David Brent, while Steve Carell led the US adaptation as Michael Scott. 'British audiences really like taking the piss out of a out of a boar, but American audiences can't make that their lead person – they have to have some kind of emotional investment in that person. If they don't, they're just kind of like, 'why am I following this terrible person around?'' If you've seen the original, you'll be well aware that David Brent has very few redeeming qualities – while he's hilarious, Paul accurately described him as a 'pretty despicable character.' So how did The Office US win our hearts? 'The key to the show was humanising Michael,' Paul shared. He revealed that the turning point was in the iconic office Olympics episode in season two, which was where we saw a softer side to Michael for the first time, courtesy of an artistic decision from Steve Carell. NBC In the episode, Michael had just bought a condo, and while he was initially the butt of the joke, when it came to him receiving his award, Steve started getting emotional. 'It was just this moment of, 'like wow, that's brilliant,' Paul said, 'We were all like, 'Steve, keep doing that.' So that was the show's turning point, giving audiences an insight into the character's more vulnerable side – something that became a key part of Michael's growth throughout the series. NBC While Michael's foot-in-mouth moments are hilarious, it's safe to say his emotional side played a huge part in why Michael remains one of the most lovable sitcom characters. NBC
