Scotland star Tierney is returning from Arsenal this summer - as first revealed by SunSport - but boss Brendan Rodgers needs competition in defence. Greg Taylor is out of contract, and loanee Jeffrey Schlupp has gone back to Crystal Palace. Mills was playing at non-league Enfield at the start of last season. He cemented a spot in boss Darren Ferguson's side, and his fine performances had scouts flocking to watch him. Rodgers knows that Taylor is all but certain to have played his last game for Celtic. The Scotland international has attracted interest from Dinamo Zagreb, the MLS and most recently PAOK of Greece. And Mills is one of the potential names on the replacement list. We reported that Djurgardens' Japanese kid Keita Kosugi was under consideration. Also, Celtic have shown interest in Red Star Belgrade wonderkid Veljko Milosavljevic. Rangers fans react as 49ers takeover completed The defender is just 17 but has already gained valuable first team experience and caught the eyes of several European clubs, including the Premiership champions. Serbian outlet Meridian Sport claim that an initial offer from the Parkhead club has been kicked out, with Red Star standing firm on their demands of a €10million (£8.4million) price tag. He explained: "Some of the regular players who are always in the squads have been left out for these games. "Considering that some of the main players had played a lot of games before and suffered frequent injuries throughout the season, we decided not to call them up this time. "The guys who have played a lot of football deserve a rest." Maeda will play his 56th game of the season for club and country today when he starts in the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen - he's scored 34 goals. But as well as picking up a hat-trick of personal gongs, Maeda is celebrating becoming a dad for the third time. He'd headed back to Japan last month to be with his wife but then returned to face Rangers with his child still to be born. Maeda said: 'I now have a baby boy. "I've just seen him on video calls. "I haven't seen him face-to-face yet so I just want to go into the off-season and see him.'
