BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading global talent, entertainment, sports, and advisory company United Talent Agency (UTA) today announced an expansion to the company's communications department with the addition of Gabe Tesoriero and Kate Cafaro. Based in New York and Los Angeles, respectively, Tesoriero and Cafaro will both serve as Vice President of Corporate Communications, with Tesoriero leading communications for UTA's global Music division and Cafaro heading up communications for the agency's Filmed Entertainment division. Both will report to Cassandra Bujarski, who joined the agency in February as Chief Communications Officer, and to Senior Vice President, Claudia Russo. The appointments come at a time of momentum for UTA and are part of its strategy to create a best-in-class corporate communications function. He began his career working with clients Roc-A-Fella Records, VP Records and more. Cafaro comes to UTA from Amazon MGM Studios, where she helped lead corporate and executive communications. Previously, she worked at ICM Partners, overseeing enterprise communications and handling social impact, political, and inclusion communications as well as its business and trade media relations. Earlier, she worked for CBS Media Ventures, managing communications for multiple Emmy-nominated syndicated series. She began her career at Warner Records. Cafaro Foundation donates millions toward YSU Kilcawley Center renovation

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Cafaro Foundation has jumped to the top of a growing donor list Thursday with a $3 million donation to the Kilcawley Centered on the Future campaign. Kilcawley Center closed Monday, just after graduation weekend, for the start of renovations, which are expected to take more than two years to complete. Some updates include a new black-box theater, a revamped Chestnut Room for large gatherings, flexible meeting rooms, a new dining area, and indoor and outdoor areas. The project is anticipated to come with a $50 million price tag, covered by loans and aided by donations that keep coming. This donation puts the Cafaro family into YSU's highest notable giving society, the Penguin Pinnacle, which accounts for contributions to the university from donors of $5 million or greater. 'We are thankful and deeply grateful for the Cafaro family's continued support of our university,' said YSU President Bill Johnson. 'This gift reflects their dedication to YSU's student community and further acknowledges their belief in the critical role YSU plays in the social, cultural, and economic vitality of our region.' The Cafaros' support for YSU dates to the 1960s. William M. Cafaro was a key advocate for Youngstown University becoming a state public university in 1968. He also was one of the founders and one of the first board members of the YSU Foundation. Other significant contributors include former university president Jim Tressel and his wife Ellen, alumnus Dr. George Young, The Hynes Finnegan Foundations, Board of Trustees member Joe Kerola and his wife Pam, The John S. and Doris M. Andrews Memorial Fund, and more. YSU's website includes a breakdown of the project, a timeline of what will be closed when and where offices have been relocated. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Eastwood Mall ends Fashion Week with healthcare heroes

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — Saturday was the final day of the Eastwood Mall's 2025 fashion Week. For the final show, some healthcare heroes hit the runway. It was the Akron Children's Hospital's Me and My Hero show. Kids who are patients at the hospital strutted, posed and dressed in their best with their doctors or nurses. The show was sponsored by the Cafaro foundation, but it was also a fundraiser for the hospital. Machelle Syx with Akron Children's says it was a big day for everyone involved. 'It was great because it's really about the community coming together to support our mission and our patients, and that's evident by people surrounding that runway right now,' Syx said. Any attendees who donated to the hospital had a chance to win a special prize valued at $400. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
