Eastwood Mall ends Fashion Week with healthcare heroes
It was the Akron Children's Hospital's Me and My Hero show. Kids who are patients at the hospital strutted, posed and dressed in their best with their doctors or nurses.
The show was sponsored by the Cafaro foundation, but it was also a fundraiser for the hospital. Machelle Syx with Akron Children's says it was a big day for everyone involved.
'It was great because it's really about the community coming together to support our mission and our patients, and that's evident by people surrounding that runway right now,' Syx said.
Any attendees who donated to the hospital had a chance to win a special prize valued at $400.
