Civil Protection Contains Massive Fire at Safir Square ​​Heliopolis

Taarek Refaat Civil Protection forces were able to contain a fire that broke out in a residential building in the Safir Square area of ​​Heliopolis. The Cairo Civil Protection Operations Room received a report of the fire, and fire engines immediately arrived at the scene. A security cordon was established to contain the flames. Civil Protection forces immediately reinforced the scene with fire trucks and ambulances in anticipation of any casualties and to quickly control the fire before it spread to the residential apartments in the building itself. The forces were able to control the fire within 60 minutes, containing the flames and preventing them from spreading to the rest of the building. Residents were evacuated, and electricity and gas supplies were cut off as a precaution, in case the flames exploded. Cooling efforts are currently underway to prevent the fire from recurring.
