Indiana Fever fans criticize Caitlin Clark as she plays soccer while sidelined with groin injury

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has puzzled her fans with her soccer showing during a charity event in her home state of Iowa this week, where she twisted her hips and swiftly kicked a ball into the goal. The Caitlin Clark Foundation unveiled a new multi-use court and gave out school supplies at McCombs Middle School in Des Moines on Monday. Clark had to try out the court her foundation donated, running to a soccer ball and struck it with her right foot with the proper form one would see from Chelsea dynamo Cole Palmer. Clark has stayed publicly visible despite her groin injury, that has kept her out of Indiana's last four games, and is already ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Phoenix Mercury. The phenom also sparked confusion on the matter earlier this month when she and fellow WNBA players descended on Indianapolis nightclub, INVY, for the All Star Champagne Launch Party, with her jumping around at the venue. Now, with a sport she played in high school returning in front of cameras, her WNBA followers are now wondering now injured Clark actually is. she yearns for soccer but the basketball calls her like a green goblin mask — cc akgae (@clrkszn) July 29, 2025 Fever star Caitlin Clark has puzzled her fans with her soccer showing during a charity event Clark has been out of the Fever lineup for multiple stretches this season with her injuries 'Bruh…this and jumping up and down on the sidelines what are we doing,; one fan said. 'Oh yeah, that groin is looking real sore. Either she's almost back to 100% or there's some real bs goin on,' a second person stated. 'If she can do that hip motion, she needs to be playing basketball,' a third continued. 'Well, she doesn't appear to be experiencing any right groin pain when she does this kick, so that's good,' a fourth concluded. Clark has missed more than a dozen games this season with her multiple injuries, which began in late May and have continued into July, causing her to miss the All-Star Game, where she was voted a captain in her second professional season. A collection of social-media messages from Caitlin Clark's fans about her soccer showing Highlights from her career playing soccer were seemingly first posted to YouTube about ten months ago - showing off her proficiency in the sport while in high school. Comments at the time reflected some people's wonder at what may have been if Clark decided to stick with the sport. 'Would've loved to see [her] stick with soccer. Bet she'd be playing in Europe right now,' read one comment on a post to Reddit. 'God has their favorites, and clearly I don't number amongst them,' said another Redditor.

'Thank Yous' Pouring In For Caitlin Clark's Foundation Tuesday

'Thank Yous' Pouring In For Caitlin Clark's Foundation Tuesday originally appeared on The Spun. Caitlin Clark has been sidelined for the past two weeks due to a groin injury, but that hasn't stopped her from being an inspiration to fans around the world. In 2023, the NCAA's all-time leading scorer founded the Caitlin Clark Foundation. She has already helped out local foundations and charities in Iowa over the past two years. "Caitlin's passion and joy on the court inspire her foundation's work off the court. The Caitlin Clark Foundation's mission is to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sports—three pillars Caitlin believes were foundational in her success," the foundation's mission statement reads. This past Monday, the All-Star guard for the Fever returned to Des Moines to help out the youth. She provided 500 backpacks full of school supplies for students at McCombs Middle School. Clark's incredible work this week was part of the grand opening for a new outdoor court McCombs Middle School. The court was funded by the Caitlin Clark Foundation and Musco Lighting. Unsurprisingly, basketball fans praised Clark for once again making an impact through her foundation. "This is what it's all about! This is bigger then basketball and she understands that," one fan commented on Instagram. "Thank you Caitlin," another Instagram user wrote. "Shoutout to Caitlin Clark and her foundation for helping the marginalized, underrepresented communities in her home state of Iowa," one fan said. I love to see Caitlin giving back, especially to the youth," another fan said. Clark finished this trip to McCombs Middle School by getting some shots up with a few kids. "It's always fun for myself to come back here and be in Des Moines. Obviously, this place means so much to me, and I hope to be able to continue to come back here and do this every year," Clark said, via Hawkeyes Wire. Basketball Fans Celebrating Caitlin Clark For Incredible Gesture

Basketball Fans Celebrating Caitlin Clark For Incredible Gesture originally appeared on The Spun. Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark proved Friday that you don't need to be on the court to make an impact. Clark has been sidelined since July 15 due to a right groin strain. The Fever announced this week that there's no timetable for her return. They'll take a patient approach to this process, especially since they don't want to jeopardize the former No. 1 pick's long-term health. On Friday afternoon, the two-time WNBA All-Star took time out of her schedule to support IPS Northwest Middle School. Students received backpacks filled with school supplies and books courtesy of the Caitlin Clark Foundation. Clark's foundation wants to "uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sports." We'd say she's accomplishing that goal. After Clark wrapped up her visit to IPS Northwest Middle School, fans praised her for being a true role model. "As an upcoming first year teacher this is just another reason why I love her. My students will know who she is," one fan commented. "My girl CC is amazing both on and off the court!!!!! Luv her so much," a second fan said. "Good Job Caitlin," another fan wrote. "Soo much respect for her. She is an amazing person," an Instagram user said. Earlier this year, the Caitlin Clark Foundation teamed up with Musco Lighting to provide new basketball courts at four middle schools in Des Moines, Iowa. "The Caitlin Clark Foundation is thrilled to be a partner in delivering these sport systems to the Des Moines schools and the greater community," a previous statement read. "Providing courts for local youth helps them find opportunities to play and connect with others. Sport activities provided by these courts help develop connections, foster teamwork, and improve communication. These are essential skills that complement the education journey and will have an impact beyond the court experience." ' In addition to Weeks, Musco and the Caitlin Clark Foundation are developing new courts at Callanan, Hiatt and McCombs middle schools. When completed in time for next school year, all ten DMPS middle schools will have a mini-pitch for students. 'We are thrilled to open the first of our four Community Courts in partnership with the fantastic teams at Des Moines Public Schools and Musco Lighting,' said Mary Coffin, President of Caitlin Clark Foundation.
